  • Best bang for the buck!
You can whine about there not being any 3DOF or 6DOF, but for the money ($250 early bird special), these glasses can't be beat. 3 video modes (standard, AI-HDR, HDR 10) ensures you'll find a setting you like for whatever content you're consuming. You can't "pin" the display to one place in space and have it stay there. You're buying these for the outstanding video quality at an outrageously low price. In many reviews I've watched on YouTube, these RayNeo glasses were compared and favored over glasses with added features that easily cost twice as much. The real screen size is limited only by how far away from the farthest wall you're facing. For example, sitting in my living room, facing the TV from my couch, the screen appears to be about 100 inches. If I face a wall that's further away, it's 120 inches. If I sit at my desk and look at my monitor, the screen is about 32 inches. I can imagine if you had a large enough room or were outside, the screen might get to the advertised 201 inches. The image quality is very good. Nice and sharp. It took a little fiddling with the nose pads before I got the display just right. I find having the glasses sit as high up on my nose (close to my eyes) as possible to provide the best full-screen view. The built-in speakers do offer a surround sound option that's quite convincing too. Speaking of convincing, when you put these glasses into 3D mode, using the RayNeo app on your phone allows instantaneous and continuous 2D-to-3D conversion of all the photos and videos you have saved on your device's local storage. This won't work for streaming movies though. You'll have to pay almost double for glasses with that feature. They're comfortable and fairly light. I compared using the RayNeo glasses to holding an iPad or watching a show on a laptop computer, and I do feel like the RayNeo experience is far more immersive. Being able to relax head on a couch back or bed pillow while not having to hold anything "up", not getting reflections from some handheld screen, and the added privacy you get with these glasses make it a keeper for me. ... show more

  • Excellent display glasses at super low price.
I bought these glasses when Rayneo Air 4 Pro when it was released to Amazon. I have to applaud Rayneo and Amazon for having the logistics just right that I was able to receive it within 6 hours of ordering it. This is an amazing purchasing experience and stands out in new product releases, especially when paired with Amazon's $50 coupon. It was not a difficult decision to make. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro itself, focuses on being a world-class wearable monitor rather than a complex AR/MR headset, and it nails that mission. Pros: Display & Visuals: The 0.6-inch Micro-OLED tandem panels from SeeYa are stunning. With a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits of brightness, it’s incredibly smooth and easy on the eyes. The inclusion of the Vision 4000 chip allows for AI SDR-to-HDR upscaling, which makes even older YouTube videos look more vibrant. Audio Quality: The collaboration with Bang & Olufsen isn't just marketing. The four-speaker setup is surprisingly loud. "Whisper Mode" is great for sitting next to your wife in bed, as it directs sound to your ears while she hears almost nothing. HDR10 Support: This is the first pair I've used where HDR actually works. Colors pop and the contrast in dark scenes (like The Dark Knight) is noticeably better than standard AR glasses. Even when the source device does not support native HDR, the AI SDR to HDR conversion is a big improvement over the standard SDR output. Cons: Limited "Smart" Features: These are 0DoF (fixed screen) diaplay glasses. It does have inertial sensors, but if you want an anchored "spatial" screen that stays put when you move your head, you will need to use external software like Rayneo Mirror Studio (Windows) or VertoXR (Windows/Mac). No Internal Battery: While it is not common for display glasses in this price range to have a built-in battery, the average person might not know that they draw power from your source device. It’s efficient (2-4W), but it is a good idea to keep a play and charge adapter handy for long sessions. Limited nose pieces: They include a large and medium nose piece for different fit, but I have found modifying them to use the Oakley Jawbreaker nosepad not only spreads the weight of the glasses, but can give better field of view as well. Final Thoughts: These are amazing budget display glasses, you are getting the best-in-class display and audio. Perfect for users of Samsung Dex, Steamdeck users, and frequent flyers. ... show more

  • Worth it, immersive
The glasses are great at watching movies and playing video games. The speakers on the glasses without the sound tubes are good. They are on-par with the first gen ray ban metas. The quality of the display is amazing. The colors are great and bright. I played with the ps5 on 120 fps mode and it was really responsive. My only reason for four stars is the actually resolution of the display. It’s 1080p so it’s the sharpest image. For gaming on ps5, it’s okay since ps5 120 fps is stuck at 1080 or 1440 p. The image is still good while watching movies but at that point it’s about the immersion the glasses create. The immersion is great. One thing you will need to play on consoles or on devices with hdmi out with no power is an hdmi adapter that connects to power. The glasses are great at its price and my only small gripe is that I wish it was at least 1440p but the immersion makes up for it. ... show more
