So I own a lot of AR glasses (over 20+ pairs across enterprise and consumer markets). I am an AR glasses enthusiasts. Let me tell you about these glasses. These are the RayNeo Air 4 Pro AR Glasses. They are a portable monitor that works by plugging into a device with USBC Display Out, such as phones, tablets, gaming devices, and laptops. People mostly use them for watching movies and/or playing games, and some people use custom software to have a multi-monitor setup in their glasses for productivity. These connect with most devices, and any devices that have issue RayNeo also has some inexpensive converters for PS5 and XBOX and Switch and lightning cables. These are consumer AR glasses and they are typically known as portable monitor glasses, screen-mirroring glasses, display glasses etc. They don't have any cameras in them and they really are just a monitor for the most part. Substitute products come from XREAL, Rokid, Viture, Meizu, TQSKY, and others. I have products from these other companies. Here is why RayNeo Air 4 Pro is the best portable monitor glasses and are better for most people in my opinion - it can be broken down into 3 main reasons: 1. Display - these glasses have the best screen quality in the industry. That's a fact because they are the first glasses with an HDR10 screen setting (and more screen adjustment settings in the offline built in menu in the glasses firmware). My personal opinon after using these compared with XREAL One Pro and Viture Beast and Rokid Max 2 is that these do a better job of showing me movies with higher quality. 2. Audio - The Bang & Olufsen audio actually is impressive and rich, I thought it was some marketing bs but it actually is really good. I did some audio tests and these work good as over the eye headphones. They're not bone conducting like other brands so that's really nice too. Also, RayNeo has started selling sound tubes for noisy environments and they did this based on user feedback, and the sound tubes work well. You don't need bluetooth earbuds for these glasses unlike other glasses when you're in a loud environment. 3. Price - these glasses are the most affordable new monitor glasses on the market. They are the most bang for your buck. They are more than satisfying for this price relative to the other products in the market. Other products in the industry are literally double the price, older than these glasses, have weaker screen quality, less premium audio, and they look more conspicuous because they have cameras on them and don't look like normal glasses. These are the main three reasons for me, but they're also really comfortable and the arms of the glasses can be moved up and down to better fit your face. They make a loud mechanical clicking sound when moved but that's just so they have to be readjusted each time you put them. They don't heat up on your face and the only thing I noticed were small red marks on my nose, but all glasses have that right now and these marks were painless and went away within 5 minutes. These glasses are super easy to use because you just plug them, make sure you're seeing the screen with all 4 corners by adjust the arms easily, and boom you're watching HDR10 movies. It's also cool that they include a lens cover with the glasses, not that I've needed it though. I haven't worn these in public but when compared with the competitors, that sometimes have sus cameras in them too, these look the most like normal glasses. 9 times out of 10 I mostly use these for watching movies in bed because I have neck pain. I can get through a whole movie without any eye fatigue and I don't need the sound tubes in bed. If you're curious about AR glasses and want a low risk high reward pair, these will serve you well for years to come. I tried VertoXR with them for productivity and liked that I could have 3 additionall monitors with my laptop in my glasses, but again I mostly use these for movies so that's what I'm focusing on. I recommend these glasses. If you're on the fence about them, I recommend buying them and trying them to watch a really high quality movie that you've seen before on HDR10 mode or their AI SDR-to-HDR mode and see how high quality it is in the glasses. Amazon has good return policies so that can work for you if you need it, but you'd likely only return these if this type of glasses aren't for you. If you've owned a pair of monitor glasses like this before, then I want you to know that this is the best screen quality in the industry and the price is also the best in the industry. Hardware quality and price is RayNeo's strength, and if you need better software or things to improve your experience, you can find it on Reddit or Discord because the RayNeo AR glasses community fills in the gaps that RayNeo doesn't focus on. If you're like me and mostly using these for movies and gaming, then these are the best glasses and the best price in the industry for 2026 (at least).

I bought these glasses when Rayneo Air 4 Pro when it was released to Amazon. I have to applaud Rayneo and Amazon for having the logistics just right that I was able to receive it within 6 hours of ordering it. This is an amazing purchasing experience and stands out in new product releases, especially when paired with Amazon's $50 coupon. It was not a difficult decision to make. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro itself, focuses on being a world-class wearable monitor rather than a complex AR/MR headset, and it nails that mission. Pros: Display & Visuals: The 0.6-inch Micro-OLED tandem panels from SeeYa are stunning. With a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits of brightness, it’s incredibly smooth and easy on the eyes. The inclusion of the Vision 4000 chip allows for AI SDR-to-HDR upscaling, which makes even older YouTube videos look more vibrant. Audio Quality: The collaboration with Bang & Olufsen isn't just marketing. The four-speaker setup is surprisingly loud. "Whisper Mode" is great for sitting next to your wife in bed, as it directs sound to your ears while she hears almost nothing. HDR10 Support: This is the first pair I've used where HDR actually works. Colors pop and the contrast in dark scenes (like The Dark Knight) is noticeably better than standard AR glasses. Even when the source device does not support native HDR, the AI SDR to HDR conversion is a big improvement over the standard SDR output. Cons: Limited "Smart" Features: These are 0DoF (fixed screen) diaplay glasses. It does have inertial sensors, but if you want an anchored "spatial" screen that stays put when you move your head, you will need to use external software like Rayneo Mirror Studio (Windows) or VertoXR (Windows/Mac). No Internal Battery: While it is not common for display glasses in this price range to have a built-in battery, the average person might not know that they draw power from your source device. It’s efficient (2-4W), but it is a good idea to keep a play and charge adapter handy for long sessions. Limited nose pieces: They include a large and medium nose piece for different fit, but I have found modifying them to use the Oakley Jawbreaker nosepad not only spreads the weight of the glasses, but can give better field of view as well. Final Thoughts: These are amazing budget display glasses, you are getting the best-in-class display and audio. Perfect for users of Samsung Dex, Steamdeck users, and frequent flyers.

A cool gadget with several drawbacks: - Not suitable for all head sizes: those with larger heads may struggle to fit the glasses. Don't trust the advertisements. - Impressive 201-inch display, but only 90% visible: you need to press the glasses close to your face to see the entire screen. It can be really frustrating in some games with HUD. - Fixed field of view (FOV) cannot be adjusted. I would adjust it to see the 100% of the screen, but this is impossible by the design. - No myopia adjustment: if you wear prescription glasses, you'll need to spend an additional $50-100 for prescription lenses, as the image appears blurry—like viewing a screen from six meters away—making text difficult to read. - Uncomfortable nose pads: my nose feels sore after an hour of use. - Sound tubes don't reach the ears (see photo). - 3DoF functionality works, but the drift is frustrating. I can't recommend it for productivity or virtual monitors, as they constantly shift out of view. - Mirror Studio is not worth recommending. On the positive side: - Good price. - Bright screen with a clear picture. - If your phone supports USB-C Display Port, it can be used for 3D and 2D to 3D conversion, though results can be inconsistent. - 3DoF works even with a cheap HDMI + USB to USB-C adapter. - The plastic doesn't look cheap If you can overlook the disadvantages, it's your choice.

The RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses are a nice upgrade over previous models and easily stand out in the crowded XR display glasses market. I was immediately able to notice the improvements. The first thing that stands out is the picture quality. The display is exceptionally clear from edge to edge, with none of the blurry edges that I experienced in earlier models. Text is sharp, images are crisp, and the viewing experience feels more refined overall. The entire picture was easy to get in view with minimal adjustment, something I could not get to work with the 3s. Colors are another highlight. They're vibrant and punchy without looking oversaturated, making games, movies, and streaming content look fantastic. In terms of raw visual quality, the Air 4 Pro competes well against other major XR glasses brands on the market, including Xreal, Viture, and Rokid, which I own models of each. They do not offer screen docking like other brands, so keep this in mind if it's important to your needs. Despite offering picture quality that rivals its competitors, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro costs roughly half as much as many competing models. That makes it one of the best value options currently available for anyone interested in wearable displays. The user interface is also well designed. The menu system is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes setup and adjustments quick and painless. The 3D mode toggle is a simple button command, similar to past iterations. Even users new to XR glasses should feel comfortable using them almost immediately. Comfort is another strong point. The glasses are very lightweight, making them easy to wear for extended sessions. Whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or using them as a portable display for a laptop or handheld console, they remain comfortable for extended use. You will feel a little warmth on your forehead due to the new chip inside, but nothing that will bother the experience. For media enthusiasts, the 3D capability is impressive. Full SBS (side-by-side) 3D movies look fantastic, delivering a convincing sense of depth and immersion. I have not tried Half SBS so I cannot speak to the performance there. The audio performance I'd say is fairly great, thought I'm no audiophile. I almost exclusively use earbuds while using these. Overall, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses are an excellent starting point for anyone looking for a high-quality wearable display. With sharp edge-to-edge clarity, vibrant colors, a lightweight design, and a price that undercuts most competitors, they deliver outstanding value. Definitely check these out if you're looking for the best price to performance, no frills XR glasses experience.

At first, I was skeptical, but then it arrived and I connected it directly to my I phone 16 Pro and immediately it worked, no pause, no download, just connected! The screen is incredible, and my girlfriend and I were sitting next to each other in the bed,I asked her if she could hear the movie I was watching? She said no! Wow the sound is great, not excellent but great. I’ve yet to connect my jbl ear pods but I will in the future, I want it louder, I’m almost 60, lol. The feel on my face isn’t taxing at all, the nose piece fits really well and I use readers to read but didn’t need them either this. I haven’t used it yet either my laptop but so far the performance is incredible and I’m so glad I bought them. I have a 16 hour one way flight coming up in October, this is why I purchased them. I totally love them and would buy them again! Fyi, I bought the extended two year warranty, I think I paid less than 30 bucks. I’ll try and review them when I connect my laptop.

The glasses themselves are well built and the image quality is just...fine. However, there's a couple of flaws that really bring it down. I'll give a breakdown below, but if you want the TLDR - There's a lot of early adopter issues, so wait for these to go on sale, or wait for an updated model that fixes these problems. The first issue are the lenses of the glasses - they're too small. The glasses require you to fidget with them to get the screen as clear as possible, however the virtual screen is basically edge to edge, and in my case, even if I have the glasses pressed up against my brow, some of the virtual screen is cut off and blurry along the edges. The glasses themselves offer no screen size adjustment to compensate for this issue. Unless you're using these on the go, laying in bed, or anywhere that doesn't have a proper monitor/TV, these glasses probably don't have much use case. They are simply not a monitor or TV replacement, and seem to really only shine when on the go. Second - the advertised 201" video display is genuinely marketing fluff. Because of the small lenses, the virtual screen can only get so large, and being able to see your surroundings breaks the immersion. If you want a real world comparison, wearing the glasses is basically the equivalent of looking at a 32" screen from about 2ft away. If you have a Meta Quest and use the theater/windowed mode for its apps, the Meta Quest beats it hands down. If I knew what I know now, I probably wouldn't have gotten these. That's not to say I'm dissatisfied with them, I'm just underwhelmed. There have been instances and locations that I wanted to use my Quest 3 but couldn't, which is where the RayNeo Air 4's fit nicely, but those situations are not overly common for me. Pair that with the fact that they honestly aren't a good alternative to a half decent monitor means I probably won't be using them at my desk other than for the novelty of it.

I purchased the RayNeo 4 Pro along with their parallel charging adapter and the Sound Tubes for the speakers. Physically, the build quality is quite good, and the Sound Tubes actually do a great job of directing audio toward the ears. However, if you are buying these for professional work on a PC, be prepared for a nightmare. The Software (Mirror Studio) is a Disaster: The biggest selling point of these glasses is the ability to have multiple virtual screens on a PC. In reality, the software is extremely raw. I tried running it on my Dell Precision 3551 (a professional workstation with Thunderbolt 3 and dedicated NVIDIA Quadro graphics), and it was a complete failure. To even get the software to stop crashing immediately, I had to: Update the BIOS and Thunderbolt 3 firmware. Manually clean and reinstall Intel and NVIDIA drivers. Disable Windows "Core Isolation" (Memory Integrity) because the RayNeo drivers are seen as a security risk. Debug conflicts with the Windows 11 display stack. Even after all this "engineering work," the software remains unstable. It enters a "reconnect loop" as soon as you try to apply AR settings. If you are on a newer Windows build (like the Insider/Canary branch), forget about it — the software simply isn't ready. The "Edge Visibility" Issue — Why 3DOF is a MUST: The optics on the RayNeo 4 Pro have a significant flaw: the edges of the screen are blurry or cut off depending on your face shape. To use these for work, you must have a "floating window" (3DOF mode) so you can turn your head to bring the corners of the screen into your central vision. Without the Mirror Studio software (which doesn't work), you are stuck with a "fixed-to-eye" screen. This makes working with Excel, coding, or reading menus in the corners impossible. You can't just move your eyes; you need to move the virtual space. Android Support: It doesn't get better on mobile. The official Android app currently does not support the 4 Pro model properly. You get the hardware, but you don't get the ecosystem that makes it functional. Verdict: The hardware is 4.5/5, but the software is 1/5. Until RayNeo fixes Mirror Studio and provides stable 3DOF support for PC and Android, these are just an overpriced, fixed-position secondary monitor. If you aren't an IT expert willing to spend hours in the Command Prompt and BIOS, stay away for now.

The first thing that stood out to me was the build quality. The glasses feel premium, solid, and well-made without feeling too heavy. They don’t feel cheap or fragile like some other smart glasses I’ve tried. Setup was also surprisingly easy. I was expecting a more complicated process, but it was basically plug-and-play with my devices. Within minutes I was watching videos and testing different apps without needing to spend time troubleshooting or adjusting settings. The controls and overall user experience feel very intuitive. The display quality is probably the best part for me. The image is extremely sharp, colors look vibrant, and watching movies or videos feels immersive, especially on flights or in darker environments.
