We ordered several of these timers and they were easy to install and to program. One of the timers failed on the manual operation and after RainPoint sent troubleshooting steps it was still not working so it was replaced under warranty. The best part is the replacement timer was sent out immediately and arrived within 1 day! Now that is Customer Service!!! We highly recommend these timers!!

This product comes with 5 year warranty. You’ll need to make sure to contact them as soon as you get your product! I reached out to them for a question and they responded within a couple days. Their customer service is great! I didn’t install for months after I purchased it and Finally I installed it. It is very easy to install and set up. It is working perfectly fine! This was an easy timer to setup. I had to wait a bit more than a week to test because of weather. Very easy to program. Manual run mode is convenient and can be set to run for period of time. Construction is plastic but looks like it will keep out water. Big bonus was warranty. Do not have to worry.

The timer works great. I put a splitter on my normal spigot and ran the hose through my raised beds. This will be great in the incredible summer heat of Texas - saving me from hosing down the plants in 100 plus degree weather. The connections are leak free so far. The screen is intuitive and user friendly. So far my plants are thriving! I may even buy another for other areas of my yard.

The product is very easy to use and works just as you would want, however it does decrease your water pressure due to them using too small of valve. I would estimate around a 20% reduction. They actually try to refute this in the manual that comes with it, clearly suggesting they have had complaints. But it is the device itself and not your water source as they try to blame. I removed the filter o-ring for a standard o-ring and it did not seem to help. Just keep this in mind when you purchase. Orbit may be worth a test to see how pressure is affected before getting a better price with this one. Update 7/23/23: Rainpoint has provided excellent customer service and reached out to me several times to help improve my opinion and issues with the product. They have provided me an Orbit single outlet to test side by side with their Rainpoint single outlet. Functionality of the unit seems to be the same. I will say I see more value in having the brass fitting version for longevity of removal/installation, the plastic will wear out and even dry out in hot climates much quicker, leading to leakage at the inlet. Water pressure reduction is now estimated to be around 10% for both units. It is difficult to measure without scientific equipment in perfect operating conditions. IF I had to place a bet on which one provides better pressure results I would have to go with the Orbit. This is from watching the operation of both of them side by side, this is subjective and just my opinion if I had to pick one. New issue has now occurred with the Rainpoint unit and effected the testing. It required me to use another Rainpoint unit to complete the test (have 2 single outlet units). I had valve failure in the Rainpoint unit and I could not get it to open in any setting or scenario. This kept the water from flowing to complete the test. A valve engagement could be heard, but it failed to open and function properly. Considering all this above and primarily due to the valve failure, Orbit gets the win in side by side comparison. If your valve fails then the unit is useless, no matter what pressure issues exist. Stars will remain at 3 because 1 Rainpoint unit still works fine, so it’s a 50/50 issue. *More time using the Orbit may be required for me to validate the integrity of the valve design.
