Description

The RACO 6239BK is a 1-gang floor box kit built around a 15A, 125V tamper- resistant duplex receptacle, recessed to minimize plug protrusion above the floor. The round steel box holds 28 cu-in of capacity, finished in black to match the receptacle, and is sized for installation in carpet, tile, or wood flooring. Height can be adjusted after the box is mounted, giving installers room to fine-tune the fit as flooring materials are added or built up. Removable neoprene gaskets let either side of the receptacle be used independently with the cover closed, so a cord can stay plugged in on one side while the other stays sealed against dust and debris. The kit can be used for power or data applications, giving one box flexibility across different device types. Everything needed for the installation ships in the kit: the box, the recessed duplex device, and the round cover, so no separate receptacle or cover purchase is required. UL Listed and CSA Certified, the 6239BK meets recognized safety standards, giving installers a complete, ready-to-mount floor outlet solution for one or multiple floor types without sourcing extra parts.

We pined over which type of floor outlet to use in our remodel. After finding these we knew we found the right one. The matte black finish matches our interior hardware and the many brass options were not fitting for us. The box is adjustable for different floor thickness. Electricians even complimented them as being superior to what they could get at their supply house. ... show more

    • Nice clean install
Style: Floor Box Kit
The box looks great after install, it sticks up a little higher than I would like. Good quality materials, works as it should. Theo only draw back is the door( receptacle cover) is hard to open and needs a tool to pry it up.

    • Exactly What We Needed
Style: Floor Box Kit
This product was exactly what we needed! We've been running an extension cord under the rug for two years. I know, I know, that's dangerous, but we had no choice......until now! Now that bump in the carpet is gone and no more fire hazard!!! This is NOT a simple DIY project and you'll need skills and tools that most don't have. If you don't have these tools and skills, you'll need to hire a professional to install it for you. It looks good and solved a huge problem for us! ... show more

I'm assuming this was easy to install as I had a licensed electrician do the work. He didn't say otherwise.

    • This thing is huge
Style: Floor Box Kit
Great quality and material… heavy duty but if you are looking for a small floor outlet, this is not the one. We returned because we could not imagine making that size hole in our hardwood. Concept is great and I’m sure it will work for a lot of people but we just couldn’t get over how large it was

    • Very easy to install
Style: Floor Box Kit
This is a very good product that was easy to install, and completely hides the plug from the surface of the floor. If that’s what you’re looking for Definitely go ahead and buy this
