I recently adopted a cat that used to be outdoors 24/7 (was either a stray or abandoned). I like to keep my cats indoors for safety reasons, but I didn't want him to miss the outdoors completely. Being much cheaper and larger than prebuilt catios, I decided on this chicken coop. My mother helped me assemble it, and it took a few days to complete (just a few hours each day). It went pretty smoothly (I assemed most of the frame on my own, but the mesh and tarp would be much better with another person). The most time-consuming part of the process was probably cutting the hardware cloth/chicken wire and securing with all the zip ties. The little U-shaped stakes to 'anchor' the enclosure in place don't seem to do much, but I also have pretty soft ground (it seems substantial enough that it wont blow away or anything, but you may want to buy something sturdier). I did initially have an issue where one of the corner base plates was bent just enough that I couldn't insert the connecting rod. I contacted customer support, and Milka promptly replied to my message and had arranged a replacement to be sent out. It arrived within a couple days (turns out the wrong part was sent lol, but I contacted Milka again and they immediately sent the correct part). If you measure the hardware cloth carefully, you can actually use it for every part of the coop except the roof area under the tarp. It's a bit better quality than the chicken wire, so that's what we did. Overall, despite a bit of a delay with the dented part and the stakes not doing much to anchor the coop, I'm very happy with this purchase so far. I admittedly don't have much to compare it to, but my mother has chickens of her own and said that she thought this was a pretty decent coop for the price. Plus customer service is very responsive (thank you, Milka!). I'm happy to be able to give my cat a safe area to enjoy the outdoors on nice days. I bought this to house 13 chicks until they get big enough to join the main flock. We live in the country and predator proofing is a must for us. Like the frame, easy to put together. The only wire I used was the hardware cloth -but it is a bit fragile for my taste - (and will probably cover that with my stronger hardware cloth) were the two panels on either side of the door. I used 1/4” and 1/2” on everything else but 4’ half inch will work fine. The bottom of the cage is covered in hardware cloth and extended 1’ beyond cage and weighed it down with concrete blocks. The gaps around the door had wood planks that framed as well as wire. Gaps were an easy access for snakes and the wire on the bottom of the cage keeps raccoons and foxes from digging under. With the blocks on the outside and 4 on the inside corners it stabilizes the coop. I am pleased with the look and the fact the tarp covers the entirety of the coop. I have Jersey Giants so as adults they will be crowded in this but would work well for smaller chickens 8-10 in number full time My suggestion for this company would be ditch the chicken wire and replace current hardware cloth with a sturdier one. ... show more

Our previous coop was a very solid, sturdy dog kennel converted to a chicken coop. We had a major storm that ripped it from its anchors, tossed it 100 yards away and turned it into a mangled mess. In need of a coop quick, we found this one. It seemed to be the best overall value for price, size and coverage. My husband and I put it together in half a day. Nothing was difficult, just tedious. The coated hardware cloth is plenty to wrap all the way around the coop, cover the top triangles and door. We used the actual chicken wire included only for the roof. It has held up perfectly through additional severe storms since. I do suggest buying thicker zip ties as the ones included are the tiny size. ... show more

This product took a very long time to put together, very difficult with just one person, the poles were not fitted correctly, the steaks wouldn’t go anywhere that had alittle gravel, would recommend building your own over buying this one.

This chicken coop was easy to build but it takes some time. It came with all necessary pieces to build it. The only issue we had, was that on the tube there are wholes to attach to each other and they were not lining up. My husband was able to screw a new whole. After that we didn’t have any other problems. Perfect for my 5 chickens. Even more if I could have more. Lol ... show more

Some of the connectors were bent, The seller offered to send replacements. The edges of the poles are very sharp so wear the provided gloves or you'll end up looking like you got in a fight with a feral cat. The frame is solid but the packaging was poor and caused some slight damage to the wire and some connectors. a couple of the locking pins that keep the poles together were broke but i used a bolt in place of them. this is a decent start to a good chicken run if you're handy. hardware cloth only covers the sides the rest is chicken wire. I was fairly pleased with the ease of assembly. I was displeased, however, with the quality of the welds on the base plates. Above I have pictured #C (the middle 3 way base plate) and as you can see there is a huge crack where the weld should be and the pins don't line up in the holes drilled. As this is a stress point (near the door) I doubt this will last more than a couple of months. ... show more

Some parts were rusted right out of the box and some not welded completely together. Absolutely no instructions with a bunch of pipes luckily most of it is quick connect pipes. Seems pretty sturdy despite some parts though. Wish it would’ve had some sort of guidance paperwork, labels or something.
