    • Sturdy, well built. Heavy duty roof tarp. Plenty of space.
This is more sturdier than it looks..it was easy to build. There was plenty of hardware cloth and plenty of chicken wire for the roof..all the parts were well marked. However the ground spikes aren’t as good so I attached hooks on all 4 corners and used carve straps, by doing this i guarantee this will be affected by the harsh winds. I will buy another and link them together to make more space when I more hens..the hardware cloth is heavy duty and nothing can get through. However you will want to buy more 8 inch zip ties..the 8 inch makes things much easier to tie everything down..the tarp is very good quality and covers everything just fine with an 8 inch overlap on the sides. The poles are of good quality. I would have to say this run is very well worth to money. I will also say that if you make some of your own personal upgrades you will have a rock solid run. There’s plenty of room to stand up anywhere inside the run. The bottom supports on each upright poles definitely makes this sturdy..I searched for hours on Amazon and this run was the ONLY run that had double supports on each upright poles..if you want something that will last then this run is what you want. I work in the construction industry so I know what’s good and what’s not..all I can say is this is well worth the money and the time to build the run. I hope this review helps in your decision. Easy to build. There was no missing parts there was no missing parts. The door functions well and all the parts seem sturdy. Chickens seem like they're safe inside of it we used 4x8 by 12 ft long boards along the edges and attach the coop through the little holes with screws to anchor down the frame and make it more rigid. We also used metal zip ties to secure the chicken wire. And we stack bricks up against the 4x8 boards to help give a secure border. The hen house is a little small but works well for young chickens. Can you put bricks around the border of the coop and left one end open to get them a little extra space and security. Make sure you use gloves because the wire will cut you when you are installing. ... show more

    • This is not predator proof. If you are raising prey animals (chickens), please keep looking.
The frame could use better welding at the joints of the corner connectors, but should be adequate as non-weight baring joints. Chicken wire and 3/4" hardware cloth is good for keeping animals in, but not for keeping predators out. If you are using this pen to keep/raise prey animals (chickens) you need to purchase 1/4" galvanized steel heavy gage hardware cloth. Canopy is plastic and may survive 1 summer in high heat environment, but will become brittle and tear apart over time. Plan to replace it with a heavy duty tarp or other roofing within the first year. The provided landscaping pins are cute, but will not keep it anchored to the ground during heavy weather. Plan to purchase proper augur pin tie down straps for the corners. Overall, I am pleased with the frame, for what it is, and obtained material upgrades easily. I still spent less than having a full pen built for me, which is exactly what I wanted. If you want heavy duty metal pen, buy a dog kennel instead. ... show more

    • Very Happy with Purchase!
I purchased this pen for my serama chickens (smallest breed in the world) so it was very important that the hardware cloth was small. the cloth provided for the sides has very small openings and the wire for the roof has the normal sized openings. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put it completely together. I moved a few of the chickens in it and they were tickled at the room they have. The other day we unexpected received a 1-day old calf that was very sickly and unable to get up. We actually put him in this pen so that he is protected from the much larger calf we have until he gains his strength. In saying that, this pen can be used to more than just chickens. (Dogs, calves, chickens, and even cats. I was really impressed with how it's made, and it looks really good. We've had several compliments from friends and family members. The price was great, so we are looking to get another one very soon. It's very sturdy and super functional! ... show more

Don’t buy if you think you may get a 60 mile per hour wind. This really hard core sucked even before it blew away…..had it weighted down and steaked down and it still went. Picture to follow when daylight happens….very shotty workmanship, but. Was still impressed by its kite like structure no emphasis on structure….at all…. ... show more

    • Highly suggest and will absolutely buy again and suggest to others.
We purchased this run because we saw that it came with hardware cloth for the bottom section and not just chicken wire. I was very happy to see what good quality it was. This was the perfect size for what we needed. I was very impressed with the tarp quality. We have purchased similar items in the past and this by far has the best tarp I have seen. We were missing a few parts from the kits, but we contacted customer service and they shipped the missing parts very quickly. ... show more
