This box will make just about any pairs of 12 sound good. I had purchased a kicker Comprt loaded enclosure that had a passive sub in. I made the mistake of replacing the passive sub with a second active sub. That little box did not have enough airspace to house 2 subs and the sound quality and output suffered tremendously. I purchased this box just to salvage my project and this setup banged. I was blown away by how good this box sounds compared to original enclosure (both before and after I added the 2nd sub). With the shallow mount subs @1000watts rms; The bass was clean and low. This setup was able dig low past its advertised 30hz at 1/3 the power other reviewers are recommending here. But keep in mind that I'm using this in the back of an SUV. Maybe a little different in the trunk of a car. I liked this box so much that eventually upgraded the speakers in it with kicker CompQs @1700 watts. Even louder overall while attacking that 30hz with more authority. This box does respond well to more power. This box is very well built and very heavy. The truck liner finish isn't as rough as it appears in the picture. Its surprisingly smooth to the touch and sparkly when in sunlight You may want to strap this box down because it will slide more so than some carpeted boxes. While it would be a stretch to call this box small; I would consider this box to be compact when compared with some of the larger prefabs that are tuned this low. This box is very good quality for a prefab box. Obviously I made some of my own modifications for my install, but it sounds amazing. Running 2 Rockville Punisher 1ohm DVC subscribe and Rockville DB5 comp amp. Big 3 under the hood, and 0 Guage ran to the second battery in the back.

If you have a system that's close to 1000 watts, do not buy this box! I have two power acoustic, gothic 12's, and the bass hits, were separating the sides of the box, away from the cheaply put together, horn port, making a loud noise! The air from the port, was mixing with the air in the sub chamber, making terrible sound quality! I ordered another type of box, with thick mdf. ... show more

Would recommend worth every penny, if you look close at the back of the port you see it broke a little upon arrival. Rest assured the box itself is still very sturdy and well built that I haven’t had any issues with the box besides cutting the subwoofer cutout holes bigger to fit the subwoofers.

Best enclosure I've ever used without having one custom built. Its tuned at 30 hz. I'm running 2 12" Crossfire subs that are 800 watts max each. Running 800 watts rms to my subs. Had these speakers in a Kicker box & let me just say that this box is far more better. Ive been looking for a box that had at least 2.0-2.25 cu ft & this was perfect. I already messed up backup camera because of how the hard the bass hits. Love it! I bought a dual 10 inch about 2 years ago but 1 of the subs blew out & even that box made my speakers hit harder & louder. QBomb has earned a customer for sure.
