It's a little bigger than I expected but the image is very sharp and clear with a fairly wide field of view given the magnification. (12x50). It comes with some clever little gadgets including a small cheesy tripod (usable), an iPhone / smartphone clamp so you can attach your phone to it (not super usable), cheesy carrying bag and the mandatory microfiber lens cloth. So here's why the phone attachment gizmo, even though pretty well made, isn't too useful. The eyepiece to camera lens connection isn't really good enough to block light from the sides and even if that was great, you still end up with a circular image due to the mismatch of the optics. Finally, there's almost no way you can hold the scope steady against the phone without magnifying ever tiny little shake. I look at it this way, you get a mini-tripod with a phone holder which you can use on the tripod for free. And you can also use the tripod to hold the scope. ... show more

This is a super worth buying telescope. I placed an order before traveling to Yellowstone National Park, which was delivered by express the next day. It's not big enough to be placed on the side of my backpack. Although the magnification is limited, it is very light. I couldn't be more satisfied. In addition, it also comes with a bracket that can be adapted to mobile phones. It is suitable for taking pictures with mobile phones and can be used for fixed-position shooting.
