Description

We’re American craftsmen making innovative, battle-proven optics for the world’s most relentless hunters and shooters. We’ve built our reputation as the world’s dominant optics manufacturer focusing on performance. We are hard-working Americans committed to upholding the legacy of quality and craftsmanship that is expected of true American Manufacturing. We believe in outperforming everyone, even ourselves, and we are relentless in our pursuit. The 10x binocular is the Jack of all trades when it comes to glassing. It provides enough field of view for tight areas, while delivering enough magnification for wide-open spaces. The BX-4 Pro Guide HD 10x32mm increased magnification makes identifying your target a whole lot easier, and the decreased objective size reduces weight, all while maintaining an elite level of performance. The BX-4 Pro Guide HD 10x42mm is compact, lightweight, and the perfect power for a lot of hunters. We make sure our optics perform at the highest level in the harshest conditions by ensuring they will survive from -40 degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. From torrential downpours to crossing rivers, you’ll never have to worry about a Leupold binocular leaking or fogging up. Our proprietary gas blend and seals are tested to a 33-foot depth and a multitude of pressure changes. Offers excellent dawn-to-dusk light transmission for a bright image when it matters most, elite-level glare reduction in harsh light, and the resolution and clarity that diehard hunters and shooters demand. Whether you’re going after your target buck or the top spot on the podium, you know our optics will never let you down. That level of trust is earned. It’s won by dominating thousands of hard hunts, winning countless adrenaline-filled matches, and protecting our country for decades on the battlefield. No matter what happens to you when the pressure’s on, our designs will survive every epic moment and deliver the premium clarity they’re known for, just as they have for the past 100 years. So go ahead, Be Relentless.

Early impressions, day hiking, man portable mobility
Style: 10x42mm - Shadow Gray (172666)
I will update this review over the months as I gain hours behind the glass. I am a full purchasing consumer. This review is not based on a free review sample. I am not getting any compensation from the retailer or manufacturer for posting this review Early Impressions, [7/4/20] First off, the seller sent me an 8x42 model instead of the 10x42. Thats alright personally for me since the 8x42 turned out to be preferable for me. Had this actually been the 10x42, there's a good chance I would have returned it anyways for the 8x. So take this for what its worth. There are several options in the ~$500 ball park. Several of the YT reviewers for all of these models mentioned how well these scale up with more $$ units. Hawke frontier ED Nikon monarch 7 Zeiss terra ED Vortex Viper HD Many Steiner models I eventually went with these leupold BX-4. What sold me was the locking diopter and eye relief. I will be using these actively as a trail hiker & backpacker. They will be slung around my neck/shoulder and no doubt getting bumped around a bit or at least swinging around. So I wanted something with no chance of getting bumped out of adjustment. I could set and forget. The archery / bow hunting forums and YT reviewers kept mentioning these. Several comments how quickly the operator could acquire a clear sight picture, identify game / foliage differences even in dark shadows, set the binos down, re-acquire sight picture, load, draw and fire. I am not into archery or hunting. I have range-shot archery, small caliber rifles and shotgun clays. I am experienced enough to know that sight picture is everything in shooting sports. So I think I was able to use that user feedback and find a product that fits my needs. A lot of reviews also mentioned how much better, brighter, clearer the BX-4 optics are over the BX-1/2/3. Basically $$ well spent without going hog wild on the $1000+ BX-5. Many positive comments on how the BX-4 fills the price-performance gap between the $250 and $1000. So far I am happy with my purchase. I am clearly seeing new things on my hikes. Everything from wildlfe to landscape, so bright, clear and vivid. Just like the archery forums said Its like looking deep INTO shadows and dark areas and seeing into them. Its like seeing into dark shadowy objects with with a good quality flashlight. I would not recommend a 42mm objective if you have size and weight limitations for your load out. Its ~1.5 pounds (663 grams) of glass, metal and plastic. IMHO its Perfectly OK for day hikes. For multi-day section, or through hikes I would go with a much smaller/lighter option.... something in the 8x26 range like a Nikon trailblazer. ... show more

Excellent quality
Style: 10x42mm - Shadow Gray (172666)
My husband had these on his wishlist for his 40th birthday. I am super cheap, so the thought of spending this much on binoculars was hard to come to terms with. But my husband is an avid bird nerd, we live in an area that sees a fair amount of birds and wildlife and he only turns 40 once! My father-in-law is an ornithologist and knows a lot about high quality binoculars. I asked him to give his opinion on this gift before I purchased them. He said that the price was very reasonable and the quality is exceptional. I didn’t buy the extra warranty because he told me that the company was extremely reliable about covering their products. My husband is very happy with them and loves any opportunity to take them out. They are very crisp and clear to look through. I’m not finicky, but I will trust the opinion of those that are and say that these are very good quality. The price is still painful to me, but I’m told that you get what you pay for and these are worth it. ... show more

Great binoculars!
Style: 10x42mm - Shadow Gray (172666)
For those of you that can’t decide if you want new binoculars or not, these will easily make up your mind. I can’t believe how much nicer these are than my old binoculars. I had a whitetail at about 250 yards with about 20 minutes of daylight left, walking through a set aside field that I could barely tell was a buck. When I put up these B4’s I could see it was a ten point with a bunch of bark on his base’s and a cut on the side of his nose. At this point now I’m breathing heavy with no fog blocking my view. Unbelievable the difference between an okay pair of binoculars and a great pair of binoculars! It was hard for me to pay $536 with tax for these, but I’m really glad I did! Plus Leupolds no fault policy, it was a no brainer! I know I’ll have these the rest of my life. I’m super happy and should have bought them years ago! ... show more

Went with these on 10/29/23. Fast shipment!!! They arrived and they are pretty nice. Wide field of vision edge to edge, nice focus setup. Everything feels tight and smooth. Very light with amazing light gathering capability. WAY Better than my Diamondbacks, but not even close to my Kiabab's. They seem as nice as my Steiner HD 10X42's (which the BX-4's are replacing since my Steiners broke). I like this double bridge design, hopefully they will hold up. At this point; feel good about this purchase. ... show more

Unbelievably good binoculars!!!
Style: 10x42mm - Shadow Gray (172666)
Never used a better binocular. Eye cups are amazing and clarity, brightness, and ease of focus are just top notch. Right in keeping with the Leupold brand! If you want a great pair of Bono’s, get a pair of these. Couple of weeks later: Used these on the porch bird watching and on the range as a spotting scope. I absolutely love them. Clarity , ease of focus, just awesome. Some reviews complain of the objective lens covers; I think they work great. What more can I say - Leupold! Made in Japan. ... show more

Incredible Glass!
Style: 10x42mm - Shadow Gray (172666)
After watching a bunch of reviews on YouTube and reading comparisons online I decided that these are exactly what I needed for my hunting style and I could not be happier. Top notch glass is usually very expensive but these are an incredible value for the money and the reviews were right when they said they perform just as good or better as some of the far more expensive brands. If you're looking for quality binoculars that don't cost more than a car, I suggest you take a look at these! ... show more
