Features

  • The Axion XQ19 Compact features a 384x288 <20 NETD uncooled thermal sensor for sharp mid-range heat detection. Perfect for tracking in brush, scanning terrain, or stalking hogs, it delivers crisp thermal imaging in real-world hunting conditions.
  • Its 640x400 AMOLED display delivers sharp contrast, vivid detail, and smooth visuals. The screen stays responsive in extreme temps and outperforms LCDs with deep blacks and bright whites for quicker heat detection in fog, dusk, or thick brush.
  • With <18mK NETD thermal sensitivity, the Axion detects subtle heat differences for reliable performance in low-contrast conditions like rain, humidity, or fog. Spot bedded deer, track wounded game, or find heat through partial cover with ease.
  • The Axion XQ19 features a 19mm f/1.0 lens with 1.56x digital zoom for field versatility. Scan wide at 1.5x or zoom in for detail when needed. The fast aperture captures heat efficiently, delivering brighter images even at longer distances.

  • The viewfinder magnification is good. The viewfinder magnification is good.
Color: XQ19- 384x288 17µm
First of all, you will have a hard time finding a thermal monocular with a 384 x 288 pixel sensor resolution with a 17 micrometer pixel pitch and <18mk NETD at this price point. This is probably the best value you can find. When it comes to quality, this "feels" like a professional tool. You know that scene in Jurassic Park where Tim picks up the night vision binoculars and the lawyer asks if they're heavy and then says, "Then they're expensive, put them back". That's what these feel like, they feel expensive. When researching this monocular, I couldn't find much information on the magnification of the viewfinder, which is something that is important to me. When looking through the viewfinder, I don't think the display looks as large as the display on the ATN Blazeseeker 207, but it's WAY bigger than the display on the FLIR Scout TK, which resembles looking at a tiny screen at the end of a tunnel. The display on the XQ19 is more than acceptable. The only thing I didn't like with this monocular is that the menu system is a little complicated. On previous thermal monoculars I've owned, you could change the color palette by pressing one button. With the XQ19, you have to go through the menu to change it. The redeeming factor is that the XQ19 offers 8 different color palettes, which is nice. Green is definitely my favorite palette. I paid $1000 for this monocular, I got a bargain. ... show more

  • Excellent entry level thermal imaging monocular
Color: XQ19- 384x288 17µm
The monocular was purchased specifically for birding. Monocular has a large FOV and the capability to locate and track a subject in dense vegetation. It is an excellent entry level monocular and meets my needs.

  • Came with dead battery
Color: XQ19- 384x288 17µm
Battery was dead on arrival. Charged for 4 hours and wouldn’t hold a charge. Was able to at least turn it on when it was plugged directly to outlet via USB
