I hate hanging pictures and other wall-mounted things. I'm a perfectionist and hate to drill holes in our walls unless I know for sure they're in the right places. I've put off hanging artwork in two of our patched and repainted rooms for almost TWO YEARS because the measuring with a tape measure always frustrates me. This simplifies so much of the layout process! I love how this is rechargeable. Little by little, we've been replacing our electric and battery-operated tools with rechargeable ones. I also love how it gives not just a horizontal reference line, but a vertical one. I like how this can be mounted on a tripod. I need only mount the level, adjust its pitch until the bubble is centered, then let the lasers be my guide. I will note that, if you don't have square walls, you might want to line the horizontal laser line up with the line where your wall and ceiling meet, then tip the level down while maintaining that horizontal line. This way, your pictures will be visually level with your ceiling/crown molding. The one thing I really dislike is the case. I don't see the point in including a bracket for the level, then including a case that is too small to accommodate the bracket or the included power cable for charging the unit. I'll have to find an alternative pouch for it if I want to keep everything together.

The instructions are clear, and worth reading to properly use this. It comes with a rechargeable lithium battery you can charge with the included USB cable, but you can also use AA batteries which might be more convenient at the end of the day. My only complaint is the carrying case that is included is not big enough to hold any of the included accessories.

The media could not be loaded. Overall it worked great except for the batteries. They are a weird shape and did not fit into the battery compartment. No explanation in the instructions. The light works great indoors. It works better outside during dusk or dawn rather than full light. The battery was the bigger issue. I liked that this one had a rechargeable battery but disappointed it did not work. See video.

I've never had a laser level before but was getting ready to hang some drywall in my garage and figured this would be helpful and I was right. The vertical line is extremely helpful in marking the position of the wall studs all the way to the floor for people who don't hang drywall for a living and need all the help they can get. I've only finished 1 wall so far but with this I didn't miss the stud once. It was super easy to set up and being indoors I was able to easily see the green line. I'm not sure what else I will use it for yet but I look forward to finding more uses for it!! I would recommend this for the home DIY'er due to the ease of use alone without even factoring in how helpful it is!!

I was not ready to like this level as much as I do. First, let me tell you what it doesn't do. This laser level does not product a 360 degree line. Both the horizontal and vertical lines project from the front of the unit and provide nice wide lines. This does not come with a case full of accessories. I have a laser level that does, and I never use them. Now, let's talk about what it does do. It projects BRIGHT green laser lines in either horizontal, vertical, or both at the same time. As with most laser levels, this one will self level within a certain range. You can also lock out the self leveling so that you can set it at another angle manually. It will work on 2 AA batteries, but includes a lithium ion battery that fits in the same spot and charged outside of the unit eith the included USB-C cable. It also comes with a zippered case that holds the level and the charging cord. The case will not hold the mounting arm. The mounting arm is a simple L-shaped plastic arm with a couple of strong magnets and a keyhole mount. It uses 1/4" threads like you see on the bottom of most cameras to mount the laser level. Obviously, you could also mount the laser level to a camera tripod. Operating the level is simple. There is a sliding switch on the side that selects OFF, ON (auto level), or ON (locked). There are two symbols on the top, V and H, to turn on the vertical and/or horizontal lasers. That's it! When I said these lights are bright... I mean bright! The green laser lines onthis unit are brighter and can be seen further away than on my $200 unit. This would be a fantastic tool for the handy homeowner, handyman, or even an electrician who only needs one occasionally and wants to travel light. For this price, you can't go wrong!

2D Laser Level for DIY or Pro. Lines are very crisp and bright. When I compared the same two planes with my 4D 360 Green laser level, THIS one had crisper lines even at a distance. If you have worked with laser levels before you know what I mean. You often judge them two ways - CAN you see the line and HOW accurate (Crisp) the thickness of the lines projected are. Brighter and Crisper = Better and more accurate. I can't word it any easier, for what you pay (VALUE) Good Luck finding something that performs as this does in any price range. If you do, PLEASE let me know.
