The QAMRA 12 light black farmhouse large chandelier is certainly large. What the ad's title doesn't say is how it will improve and update a dining area or foyer that's needing a little refresh. To start, the packaging made a very good first impression. It was double boxed with an outer box that was very thick walled. There is almost no chance it could possibly be damaged in transit. Inside the second box all of the pieces were protected from damage, again, with extremely careful packaging. This says something about a supplier. There were no missing parts and the kit including extra down-rods for higher ceilings. Our installation only required 2 of the included 12 inch down-rods which screwed together very easily with well machined threads. On ours, 6 of the light support arms were already installed, we installed the remaining 6. It was a bit of challenge because there's not much room inside the fixture housing and the nuts and washers are pretty large. There is a supplied wrench which helps but having patience and taking it slow helped more. Once all the arms are installed and tight the rest of the installation went just like any other overhead light fixture. You just take your time and be careful. And of course follow the required electrical safety rules. (Note: the threaded ends of the down-rods can be unscrewed and used on another rod if necessary.) ... show more

I have this chandelier hung over a dining table, it turned out be a beautiful addition to home. Assembly wise, it is easy to assemble but you need to understand the parts and get an idea how to fix them together in a proper order else you will repeat it couple of times. Every part that comes with it is made from absolutely high quality material. I was amazed when understood how the height of the strings could be adjusted, it is very sophisticated design which made adjusting string length a breeze. Although, instructions manual instructs to cut to a desired length, I kept it as it is adjusted without a cut as it is not really a need. I could take this chandelier and place it at different location and have different length of strings and rod with a chain. So, apart from string adjustment, you could adjust height of chains, due to low ceiling height (standard 8'), I had to keep the chains out, however that does not have any effect on it's look, it looks amazing without chains too. Everyone in family is happy with this beautiful chandelier. It comes with a plenty of wire making it's assembly and wire connection easy as I was able to keep heavy part on a table and still able to fix wire properly, no heavy lifting needed until wiring is done. This adds extra wire to bundle and wrap around and keep it up there which you could cut but I kept it just in case needed in future to relocate this chandelier to another location. It's manual is easy to follow and understand. Overall, this is a amazing high quality chandelier with high quality sturdy material and though through design. ... show more

This chandelier is easy to install and looks nice. It is very bright too. My only complaint is that the wire that holds the hoop is sort of annoying to work with. Once it is tightened and can't be loosened. I can see how this would be good in some cases, but it ended up making it difficult to adjust the hoop height and keep things even. I wish there was a way to make it loosen as well. Otherwise I really like this one. ... show more

This is a gorgeous chandelier! Even more impressive and beautiful in person honestly. And it's bigger than I expected! It's very easy to put together too. The video provided is super helpful for assembling. Just have to tighten the bolts really well with the included wrench. I'm going to install it soon over my dining table. It's just a lovely light fixture that you can even make a little more modern (like I am) by adding Edison or bullet shaped light bulbs. Anything with an E12 base will work. Great light fixture and such a great value for such a large and well made piece. I love it! ... show more
