Have you ever had a cleaner that just left your face feeling ...well, not clean? That's what I had, and I was determined to find a Face Cleaner that was not full of bad chemicals, didn't leave my face feeling dry and looking dull. Enter RoC Barrier Renew Gel to Foam Non-Drying Facial Cleanser to Hydrate Skin. A mouthful, I know, but worth every word and penny. With age comes wrinkles and dry skin, throw in chemo and such and before long, I was looking a hot mess. After doing some research for a clean (no bad chemicals) face cleaner, this one kept coming up. Historically, I have always been pleased with RoC products so I decided to give a go. I was a little iffy on the gel-to-foam deal, but I was surprisingly pleased. It comes in a pump bottle and a little goes a long way. It comes out a gel and when you rub your hands together, you can see it starting to foam. Add a little water and watch it go. It turns into a thick, foamy richness of cleansing wonder. It just feels good while you're washing. When you're all done with the wash, just splash it off or wipe with a wet towel. It removes easily. It doesn't leave your face feeling like it's still covered in residue. It leaves it feeling clean and hydrated, not dry. YES! The first time I used it, my face was singing because it felt so clean and good. Well, not actually singing but, you know, feeling like it could. Sounds silly, I know, but if you know, you know. You get 12 oz so there is plenty of face washes in this bottle. In my opinion, RoC products always do just what the say and this one is no different. I'm always hesitant about buying beauty products online, but I had heard such good things about this cleanser that I wanted to try it. I'll say this: you definitely get your monies worth. It's a large bottle that will last for quite some time. It's unscented, so great for my sensitive skin, and very gentle. It's creamy and doesn't leave any weird residue behind. With that bring said, it does have that "tight" feeling after patting dry. I definitely need to follow up with a good moisturizer afte using this. I had been trying out a 2% salicylic acid serum on my cheeks, chin, and nose. I absolutely ruined my skin barrier and irritated the h3ll out of my cheeks to where I had red marks across my cheeks and my regular products would burn and make it worse. So I compared some gentle cleansers and moisturizers to use while my skin healed. I chose this because Roc is a good brand and it was a good value for the size of the bottle vs the price. I was so pleasantly impressed with this cleanser! I used it with the vanicream lotion and my skin is almost healed up! Barely any redness left and no more burning when I use my other products. The cleanser is a little thick, and lightly foams. But it leaves my skin so soft and doesn’t leave a residue or anything. I really don’t need the lotion that’s how hydrated I end up feeling. Even if I don’t need to heal my skin barrier, I will be keeping this in my regular rotation, and it’s going in my faves list for sure! ... show more
