Easy interface for music

I like this receiver for its simplicity of use and compact size. It makes a good receiver and amplifier for my son’s bedroom audio setup. He had a couple speakers and a bass to connect and this is able to power the speakers for him. He has a powered sub paired with it as well. There is HDMI connectivity but he likes the ease of bluetooth. He uses the music apps on his phone most of the time. He also has an old cd player of mine connected to the audio inputs. The setup works well for him and sounds good. The amp isn’t overly big, just a good size for a bookshelf setup. There are lots of other options for use, like for karaoke. Lightweight, compact, but NO remote-control volume for DVD and CD.

Pyle 400W Amp. is a good quality, compact, lightweight component. It arrived in excellent condition. We do not have Bluetooth or modern systems. However, we bought this to replace a previous Panasonic Amplifier that needs repair. The only reason we did not give a perfect 5-star rating is that nothing in the write-ups or instructions stated that the remote control DOES NOT WORK on anything but bluetooth systems. So ...we have to constantly get up to adjust the volume while watching DVD format movies, or listening to CDs. Had we known this fact prior to purchaing it, we would have bought the reconditioned unit (with warranty) for @ $100.00. We personally feel that $214.00 is too much to pay considering no remote volume capabilities, even though it comes with a remote control. The amplifier does work very well otherwise. Just what I was looking for....

I was looking for a receiver for my 65" Roku TV, and, to also connect an old Technics turntable to, and connect 2 large speakers. This receiver does it all, and with 400 watts ! It took me a while to get the TV set up, as the ARC connection on my TV was not working. Then I found that I could connect the TV directly to the receiver through the square "optical" cord (digital audio out on back of TV) connection. I connected my turntable to the audio input "line" RCA connectors, and it works !. The sound is not loud enough, as is common without a preamp, so I've ordered a preamp, it's around $18. The remote works good, I can easily adjust the volume. I love the graphics when any sound is output, it reminds me of a graphic equalizer from the "old days" . I don't have any interest in the karaoke part of this receiver, so I cannot comment on that. Overall, this receiver is well worth buying, you will not be disappointed. ... show more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE ON AMAZON (member for over two decades).

I have never left a review but I felt absolutely compelled to do so with this absolute piece of garbage!! I ordered this unit with high hopes that I would get an inexpensive mixer that would allow laptop via HDMI through this mixer then out via HDMI to my home entertainment system to create a secondary but higher quality karaoke system. Well the price I paid was just to fuel my aggravation and anger. I received a refurbished device (NOT DISCLOSED AS SUCH) that arrived clearly NOT even packaged well enough to protect the unit from shipping damage. The bubble wrap was sitting only under the device and NOT even unfolded to attempt to encase the unit for safety. The unit box was clearly NOT factory wrapped but amateurishly package taped together. SO DID SOMEONE FORGET TO ACTUALLY REFURBISH THIS UNIT AND PUT IT BACK ON THE SHELF WITH THE NEW ONES?? And big surprise, multiple functions NOT WORKING when I hooked up the unit The microphone inputs NEVER worked despite numerous tries to plug and unplug. The microphone portion of panel seemed non-functional(didn't light up). Later I noticed the music volume knob did NOTHING. I COULD ONLY CONTROL THE VOLUME WITH THE REMOTE!!! And for the intended purpose of a computer karaoke system....FORGET ABOUT IT!! This unit was an absolute piece of garbage that this company should be ashamed of. I am someone who was injured with a spinal cord compression and underwent surgery for the same and am still trying to recover. I NEVER let this get me down and have been working full time since the New Year!! I WASTED MY TIME AND ENDURED PHYSICAL PAIN setting up and trying to troubleshoot this unit just to have it fail spectacularly. I am so DISGUSTED that I have written my first Amazon review to PROTECT OTHER CONSUMERS from making the same mistake I did in trusting this brand and this product. Turned my tv area into movie theatre quality sound

This Home Theater Receiver is powerful and has transformed our tv viewing room into a movie theatre - the experience at home has become much more enjoyable getting the same movie theatre quality but in the comfort of my home. Really wanted to like this but it missed the mark

I really wanted to like this receiver. It looked great, sounded good and liked the Bluetooth connection. But I bought this for my home theater and it failed. The optical audio connection drops the signal on low sounds. I tried this with two separate units connected to two different TV sources. Even tried multiple optical cables. Sound kept dropping in and out on quiet scenes. Tried an optical to rca convertor, but then the sound would only go up or down on the unit, no remote control. Then I tried the HDMI route. Unfortunatly to get any signal to the tv, the Pyle receiver needs to be on. There is no pass through. Reciever off-no signal. But, I had sound, even low sounds this time. But, when I went to a 4k signal, the Pyle unit wasn't passing through the siganl at 4k. So good sound, ok picture. So, I boxed this up a second time and returned it. ... show more

Love the unit. Had (4) speaker outlets put in my house when I built it 25 years ago with inputs behind my TV where I had my original stereo system without a remote, so I wanted something with a remote that could handle (4) speakers and had multiple input and output options, and this is perfect. Optical output from my TV, Bluetooth to my computer, and more than enough speaker outlets, and all with a remote. Remote stopped working after a few days and I contacted customer service and wala, a new one was sent.
