The funnel is a must for changing the resin. Would make a huge mess without it. After replacing the risen in my water softener the water pressure to the home has improved and the water is soft once again.

Really bad packaging… unprofessional. The bag was cut open. Resin was leaking inside and outside the packaging box; resin spilled all over the porch and inside my house. I don’t understand why it’s packaged this way?!? The water to your home is supposed to run through the resin. Not good if the resin is contaminated somehow… or how do we even know this is actually Purolite? ... show more

    • Worth the trouble.
For a DYI project that’s could be complex, it was very straight forward. A lot of work overall, but once you get the media in the cylinders, it immediately started to soften the water.
