I love this cat littler it is the only one I found so far that stands behind what they say. This little really is wonderful, it keeps the smell at bay and for a while. It is easy clumping so clean up is a breeze. BUT when Amazon went down all my items took and extra day, NO BIG DEAL trust me I am understanding. But with this product I have no idea where it went, I was on day 3 and there was no tracking, nothing to tell me it shipped or where it was. The seller either lost the details to my sale or something, but I had to wait 3-5 days for my refund for an item I never received. Then a funny thing happened, when I went to look at where my item is, the listing was different. I could find the old listing I bought the litter from but when I clicked on my transaction it was totally different. I even get to leave feedback for both items, but I did only get charged once. So I have no idea what happened. I don't even know if it was the seller or just Amazon that messed up. I am not one to write many reviews but I think this product deserves one. I have never said that cat litter smells good until now. This litter smells so fresh and just like gain laundry detergent. I just cleaned it after my cats have used it multiple times since putting it in this morning and when I just cleaned it, I still can't get over how good it smells! I hope the clean scent is long lasting. I previously bought Tidy Cats febreeze litter and it didn't smell anything like Febreeze. In addition to the smell, this litter doesn't track everywhere around my house. It effectively clumps everything. This is my first time purchasing this brand and I have I purchased a lot of different options over the years. The price of this is also very affordable compared to other options. I’ve tried a lot of kitty litters over the years, but the Gain-scented litter truly stands out. The scent is light and fresh — not overpowering or “perfume-y” — and it actually keeps my house smelling clean between box changes. Even after a few days, the litter box doesn’t give off that typical cat smell, which is a huge win. It clumps really well, doesn’t create much dust, and my cat adjusted to it right away. I also appreciate that the Gain scent lingers pleasantly in the room without being too strong for my cat or me. My all time go to for cat litter as long as they've been making it. it's got GREAT clumping factor, little to no tracking that I've seen other than 1 of my cats who digs to China when he uses it lifelong - no idea where he thinks he's going LOL, but I do have to get it all off the floor and back into the box after he digs to the other side of the planet lol... it was a very good value for the money and the scent is great. However I was taken a bit back at this smaller box than I've been buying pretty much my entire life, which is many, many decades long. I'd say great value if the size was the normal size, which this isn't, it's smaller. Other than that, the weight is and has always been great, I can't lift heavy items and I never have trouble with this litter. And if that's not great enough, there's NEVER an odor from either of my cats, using this litter (as I've always), there's no scent of cats in my home, there's never been. It's the only one I use... but again, this is not the normal sized box of litter, not sure what happened there. I took off 1 star due to the size and cost, I was expecting the normal sized box. ... show more

Have used this for over 15 years with both male and females…young and senior. I clean the litter box at least once a day and never notice an off Odor. Neat story… I was at Walmart buying several boxes (before Amazon…) I was behind a gentleman in line. As he turned he noticed the litter boxes..he made a comment to the effect how nice I was to be purchasing this litter explained how much he thought of the product…and insisted I “ bump” in line. I’ve tried several different brands of cat litter over the years, but Fresh Step Extreme Clumping Litter with Febreze Freshness (Mountain Spring Scent) is by far the most effective. The odor control really is guaranteed—even after multiple days, the litter box still smells fresh, which makes a huge difference in my home. The Mountain Spring scent is clean and not overpowering. It gives just enough freshness without being too strong or artificial. I also really appreciate the tight clumping—it makes cleanup quick and easy, and there’s very little mess left behind. The litter doesn’t break apart when scooping, which is a problem I’ve had with other brands. Another plus is low dust. Pouring it into the box doesn’t create a huge cloud, and my cat seems comfortable using it without sneezing or tracking it all over the house. The 14 lb. box is manageable to lift and pour, and the built-in handle makes it convenient. Overall, this litter does exactly what it promises: fresh scent, strong clumping, and reliable odor control.
