After having struggled with water clarity for over a year in my tub, this stuff seems to do the trick in keeping it clean and clear.. I add 1oz a week along with 2oz of hydrogen peroxide and my water has been clear for almost 2 months now.

I have a 130-gallon cold tub (filled with approx. 80-90 gallons of water) and do daily cold plunges. I hoped to find a chemical that would allow the water in my cold tub to remain clean, clear and odor-free longer so as I wouldn't need to change the water so frequently. The thing I like the most about this treatment is that it is odorless. The instructions tell you to pour 1/4 of the bottle into your tub. However, it does not specify the capacity of the tub or volume of water that 8 oz. (1/4 bottle) treats. So it's possible that I'm not adding enough of the clarifier to my large tub. It also recommends adding 1/4 bottle every week -- meaning you'll go through a bottle a month. When I first started using this, I questioned the clarity of my water after just a few days. However, at that point, I added a filter to my cold tub. The combination of this treatment and the filter resulted in clean water that lasted a while. After having the same water in my tub for one month, it still looked pretty clear and did not smell at all. (I decided after a month though that I wanted to drain the tub, scrub it and add fresh water.) Notes: The tips on the treatment bottle recommend changing your water every 2-4 weeks. The bottle also points out that UV light will affect the shelf life of the treatment (in its bottle). I'm curious about the effects UV light has on the treatment itself since my water filter has a UV light. I do not have a testing kit, so I can't speak to the pH levels. I get the sense that my filter is more critical in keeping my water clean, but I do believe this clarifier plays an important role in making my water last a month.

Purchased a cold plunge for my wife’s birthday this summer. We tried to get by with using some shock from our pool and then we tried to use some of the spa specific chemicals. I feel like most people would try and use what the have immediate access to and it worked ok. We finally looked for something designed specifically for cold water and came across this. We placed the cold plunge in our workout room and I always felt like there was a really slight musk smell in the room. After using this the water remained clear and I never caught the faint smell again.

We have a cold plunge that is outdoors AND used daily by 4 people…2 are kids who definitely like the novelty, but are not the best at keeping leaves and grass off their feet! It is very difficult for our family to keep water clean for more than a few days. I am still tinkering with the best timing on application for our situation, but so far this has allowed us to 4x how long we use the water by just following the instructions on the bottle. At that rate I am saving a few hundred gallons a month of water as well as 6 times doing a scrub down each month!!!! Solid product with great value!!
