My wife purchased this exact filtered pitcher a few years ago, and has worked out very well and lasted a long time. I recently had a small accident after cleaning it out and attempting to change the filter where the inner blue portion fell from the dish drain above my since and fell into the sink, cracking in a few spots. I did not notice the cracks right away and simply just rinsed it off and put the new filter in and began using it. When I noticed bubbles floating up and water dripped through and not passing through the filter, I realized there were some thing cracks that formed and it was time for a replacement. The original pitcher was at least 3-4 years old and I lost track because I bulk purchased filters during Covid because they became harder to find and I had a stash in the home for over a year (filters on average should be changed approx every 3-4 months, but I found the name brand would clog and stop working much sooner than the recommended gal/monthly change rate. I spotted an off brand supply that seemed to work longer, were cheaper and offered more filters in the case, so I stocked up!) I honestly cannot drink the water from my faucet as it has a terrible taste and smell, and I grew up in the late 80's early 90's drinking from the sink, the hose in the backyard and water fountains in school - for me not to drink the water in my home these days, there is definitely something wrong. PUR filters kill the smell and bad taste and make drinking water a pleasure again. For someone who has diabetes and high blood pressure, drinking enough water daily became a hard task until my wife purchased our first pitcher. Knowing that this product works, and allows me to enjoy the taste of water again, I made sure to replace the old with this new one, and bought more filters, too! LOL! Best part, I can re-purpose the lower section without the blue insert and still put other drinkable substances in there if needed (add fruit and water as an example or possibly home made iced tea) and still dispense it from the fridge. For those that rely on the TL;DR type reviews, it's a great product, lasts long, works wonders in the filter department as well as easy to clean... just don't attempt to dry and hang from a high place, if it falls it will get damaged... otherwise, worth the money and cheaper than buying bottled water at the store that tastes just as awful as my sink water. We normally keep buying water bottles from Walmart or Costco/etc. and it's really been adding up because of how much we go through. And buying those water bottles takes up a LOT of space in our fridge. But with this I have it on the top shelve and it takes up very little space honestly! I still have my entire fridge open! Taking it out and putting it back in my fridge is super easy! And filling up the container does take time but I just leave it near the sink wait a little bit come back and fill it again and its completely full ready to put back in the firdge! With water it can get heavy but even my wife and easily put this back into the fridge herself! The water tastes great, so the filters works really great! The only thing I don't really like is washing the filters/replacing them but you don't have to do that often at all maybe 2-3 times a year! ... show more

Love this product so much I bought one for my friends! I like to fill up my gallon water bottle since I work away from home. The smaller filters would take a while to fill up and I was only filling my bottle halfway or so. I decided to give this one a try, but was hesitant that the size would make the filter go even slower. I was wrong. It does take a few minutes to filter due to the large size of water you would need to fill it with, but tops 5-10mins. I find myself refilling and doing other things around the house for a short time and coming back to filtered water ready. I also like the water flow of the filter. You control how much water you want without having to worry about a mess of pouring water as this filter pushing down. Super easy. Large in size for those who drink plenty of water. The filter element actually works great; it is the design/construction of the spout that is the problem. I bought one in Feb of 2023 and had a leaking problem at the spout. Customer service told me they could not help me because it was outside the 90 day warranty period. I liked the product so much. I decided just to deal with the leak. I kept it out of the refrigerator and just hung the spout over the kitchen sink so it wouldn’t make a mess. In August 2024, I decided to buy another one since I was tired of dealing with that leak. But within a few months, again the same leak! I checked online and found that this is a very common problem with that spout. Today I called customer service and told them of the problem and asked for a replacement spout. They said they don’t sell replacement parts and since I’m out of the 90 day warranty period, They cannot help me. Now I have two 30 cup containers that are worthless since they leak all over the place. I understand companies are not perfect, and can make mistakes with their products, but knowing this is a common problem and making no attempt to provide a solution is unacceptable. This product is absolutely fantastic! I’ll never buy bottled water again. The taste is so crisp. The water is filtered amazingly clear. I have everyone who comes to visit to try this water from my Pur dispenser. I always give a clear glass so they’re able to see the clarity. They taste it then look at the glass and say man! That’s good clear water. Please try it! I’m not getting paid for this review I’m just absolutely positive once you buy it you’ll be telling everyone they have to try it! ... show more
