I have a Berkey Light and its filters are finally done for and can’t be bought anymore. My city tap water leaves a metal taste on my tongue and smells like dirt, so I can’t stand drinking it. I went scouring to find what replacement filters I could buy to keep using my Berkey, keeping in mind price as I didn’t want to spend a fortune every 6 months, but also didn’t want cheap ones that were crap. Out of all the options I found, these were a good price and I liked that I didn’t have to prime them by trying to hook to the faucet and run water through. These are so easy to rinse the outside with the sponge they include. They fit perfect in my Berkey. I ran the 3 loads of water through and took my first sip. My water tasted like nothing! These filters only filter 50 gallons!! That's only a month or so per filter :( For a $75 dollar filter, you'd think they last longer. What a rip off. Never again. I'm returning this overpriced filter. Plus they don't mention anywhere on their listing how many gallons this filter lasts because they know people won't buy it. Shady business tactic. At first, we only ordered one filter, and we decided it was filtering too slowly for our needs, so we ordered a second filter, and it made all the difference. It is definitely a financial investment, but completely worth it. We were ready to get rid of the plastic filters and pitcher, and feel so much better about the water we are drinking. These are excellent, reasonably-priced replacement water filters. They filter the water pretty quickly and remove all of the nasty chlorine taste from our city water supply. Even the dogs are happier drinking the water from these filters.
