I have been buying these for years for my Amazon pitcher. Let me tell you, the quality of this compared to name brand is great. The water tastes great. It is clear and with no signs of any color change. I have yet to try this with water that needs extra filtering, but it filters tap water pretty great. These filters usually last me about 2 months for a household of 2. It is super easy to install into the Amazon pitcher, and resetting the tracker is the best part. I think it takes a bit of time to filter out the water, but I'll take it because it has to go through different layers within the filter. The size is also comparable to that of a name brand. Nothing to be jealous of a name brand. I recommend giving these and the pitcher a shot if you are looking for something that is reasonably priced with great quality. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’ve been using these Amazon Basics replacement water filters in my Brita pitcher for several days now, and I’m extremely happy with the results. Right out of the package, I noticed they look and fit exactly like my original Brita filters—I even included a photo comparison in my review showing how identical they are. Installation was seamless, and they work just as effectively at reducing chlorine taste and odor. The water comes out crisp and clean, with no weird aftertaste or difference in quality from the name-brand version. Ease of use: One thing I did notice was that a couple of the filters had small dirt spots on them when I first opened the package. I tried rinsing them off, but the spots didn’t completely disappear. However, after running water through them as instructed, I haven’t had any issues with water clarity or taste—so while it was a minor cosmetic flaw, it hasn’t affected functionality at all. If anything, it’s a reminder to always rinse filters before use, which is good practice anyway. The value of this 6-pack is unbeatable. Buying Brita-brand filters can get expensive, but these deliver the same performance at a fraction of the cost. Water cleanliness: Since they’re WQA & NSF certified, I trust that they meet the same safety and quality standards.
