This is by far my favorite hair coloring product. I tried multiple brands that were more expensive, but none held up as well and gave me the color intensity I was after. Green is my favorite color, and Punky has three shades of it. I got stuck on the Spring Green. It resembles the color of lime jello. It is intense and warm and just the right account of brightness. I don’t think I have ever gotten so many compliments on a hair color. There’s not a single day when I’m out that bit at least one person stops and tells me they love the color. Due to the strong pigmentation, it’s really important to use Vaseline along the hairline and on the ears, otherwise you will walk around with leprechaun green ears for a day or two. For the first few weeks, it will also rub off on the pillows, especially if you have a tendency to sweat at night. But the color stays bright and strong for a minimum of one month, often even longer. It’s slowly fades into a more yellowish green, but at every stage, it is still beautiful. I haven’t tried out any other colors of punky other than the greens, so I can’t speak for how the other colors hold up. But as for all the greens I tried, they are way above average, and the price really can’t be beat. ... show more

This is a gorgeous grass-green shade, and it covered my silver hair very well. Punky is the only brand I use because the color lasts a long time. I have very long hair and wash it about twice a week, which also helps it stay vibrant. Be careful during application and rinsing because it can stain clothing, towels, and the shower. I really like this dye! I will update this review later after I've had it in my hair for a while but this is honestly the best true to green dye I have ever used! I used the Apple Green hair dye after trying green hair dyes for a while. I felt like no brand had a true green color and I was going to be forced to have to mix my own colors for the rest of my days. Most greens on the market are neon greens or blue tealish greens and even most dark green dyes turned blue in my hair! Before this I was having to mix electric lizard by manic panic and phantom green by arctic fox to create a true green but thus became costly every month when manic is 12 dollars a jar and arctic is around 13-14. I tried to use iris green by arctic fox but the color just didn't show up. The first time I dyed it it was super patchy and then I redyed it and it made my hair look almost translucent green. It was strange. I finally scoured the internet and found punky color and even though there were almost no reviews on this color (maybe its new?) I had to give it a shot. Especially when the price is cheaper than any other hair dye. Let me tell you. You do need to wear gloves and have to bleach the shower after use but it was so easy to apply! The color barely stained my skin and came off by the end of the day but I would still recommend using Vaseline. It applies so easily! It doesn't lather like other dyes when you rub into your hair and even dyed my blonde roots coming in. I didnt even use the full tub which I normally would have if I was using manic panic or arctix fox. The color is consistent all over and is just amazing! Im so impressed I am definitely only buying punky color as long as my hair is green. For any green haired person out there like me, definitely try this! Bonus note: ny hair was bleached and I did have leftover dye in my hair so your might turn out different from mine if you dont bleach or it is on freshly bleached hair. Lasted over 3 months before noticeably fading! Extremely vibrant color! Heavily scented like an apple jolly rancher x10, may cause headaches if you have a sensitive nose!

I used this on hair that was half bleached, half natural, dark brown. Better results than salon color (which, I honestly, don't think is great at all. Expensive but "cheap".) At first, all hair was a lovely, bright green, then the brown hair pretty quickly reclaimed their original color (about 1 month). I wash my hair 2 times a week at most, cool water, color safe shampoo. I did use heat tools to style here and there. I haven't tried other shades of this brand, but I've had plenty of experience with other dyes from other brands, all of which started to be pretty dead/flat pastels by 6 weeks. The bleached parts of my hair ares till vibrant green as if straight from a salon. I started washing my hair with hot water again just to get the color to leach out faster because I got green to fix up disastrous bleach results (also from a salon). Will be using a stripper to take this green out, but next time I want to go green, I know this is the stuff. ... show more
