The media could not be loaded. i didn't thoroughy read the listing here, and I didn't realize that the pump included 2 bubble stones in this purchase. Great deal ! So, at the same time that I ordered this pump, I ALSO ordered a set of 8 inch stones from a different supplier. They all came in the mail on the same day. In the video I uploaded, the stone that came WITH the pump is the one on the left, which is a shorter stone ( 5 inches long), but is providing MUCH MORE BUBBLES than the 8 inch long stone that I ordered from a different supplier. The gap between the two sets of bubbles is because half of the 8 inch stone from the other supplier is NOT WORKING. In short, the pump is very quiet, compact, easy to set up and comes WITH the bubbler stone that actually works better.

The media could not be loaded. Well I’d hope to have a silent pump but it’s pretty darn close. It’s quieter than the bubbles so that’s good! It arrived quickly and very well packaged. I do appreciate the extras. I’m using the suction cups to hold air tubes in place, why hadn’t I done this before? And the anti return valves. Air stone is a huge improvement over what I had replaced. Bubbles are great! My fish were wary of previous air stone since it broke and bubbles were as large as the fish. New bubbles are tiny and plentiful. I just hooked up pump to old tubing that was already in place. Not having any disconnect problems yet. Really it works well and I’d buy again.

Definitely not quiet. More noisy than my standard diaphragm pump. I don't see how this is a ceramic based mechanics. Seems like a standard design. Plus the box and unit seemed like it had been opened and repackaged. Terrible.

I purchased this for a sponge filter in my 36 gal tank. While the pump itself is fine, the hose that came with it is definitely in need of improvement. First, the set up does not have instructions, so I used the ones provided on amazon's page. Second, the darned hose keeps getting unplugged from the air pump. I have twice almost had heart attacks when I noticed no air bubbles in the tank and prayed to God not to find water leaking behind the tank. Luckily the safety valve worked both times but I am terrified if they fail. At this point I am not sure I will be keeping it. If the hose comes off one more time I will be sending it back. Aside from that, the air flow is good and the unit is not too loud so as to bother us. It sits inside the tank stand so the door helps drown out the noise. Finally, if you have a deep tank, skip this set up unless you are using it for one air stone only. The hose is not long enough to reach the bottom of the tank if you use both air stones.

I love the air pump. I will never get those other brands again. This one is super quiet and strong and I never have to reposition it to make it hush.

After my aquarium pump went out I bought one of these and what a difference-I have to check it to see if it's working it's so quiet. The only gripe I have is the air tubing sent with it is so soft it won't stay connected to the pump or the check-valves, it just falls off. I finally cleaned and used the tubes from my old setup, but if you're just starting out with this pump, you might want to buy a roll of aquarium tubing to go with it.
