It's very quiet, and I haven't had any issues with it after several weeks of pretty consistent use. The remote does have some issues with working the first time you push the button, but usually it registers by the second try. The customer service for the product was a major reason that I'm writing the review. After a delivery error, I contacted the seller, and they were able to quickly resolve the issue and get me my package promptly. I love my little heater/fan. Besides looking like an adorable droid, it is extremely functional. The heat output is great and heats up my office quickly, and the fan cools me down. Since I use it in my office, it is important that it isn't too noisy or the air input isn't so much that it blows my papers around. This unit fits both bills. It is effective, even at low fan speeds and is very quiet. I had an issue with my unit about 10 months after buying it and it wouldn't turn on. I bought this Air Jet particularly for the heat and I couldn't be happier! I have it in a very large room (photo for reference) and I can still feel it from across the room. Wanted to find a new space heater for my great room. I looked a soooo many and I liked these features. Small, table top, quiet, tiltable, exchanging cold air for hot... sounded good - so I took a shot. 1) remote never worked even with a new battery - no big, just a comment 2) description was correct - no arguments there 3) I thought I liked it but i was not happy with how it works. It's basically a big oscillating hairdryer exchanging cold air for hot and blowing it out. Sounds great BUT the air movement... **the HEAT is not EQUAL to the FORCE of air** So if you are right in front of it the air is warm and toasty. 2' away and the air is blowing but the temp is just warm. BUT if you are sitting on the couch and the heater is by the TV the force of air blowing is strong - by the time it gets to you - its cold air. It's winter and I feel like I have a fan on blowing cold air at me. 4) Day 4 - it quit, died, dead. I had been turning on in the morning and running until bedtime. Day 4 the electrical worked, the fan worked, no heat. no place for a trip switch, fuse... nothing. With this and the blowing of cold air at a distance... I got my money back. ... show more

This fan/heater is so cool. I love that you can keep out all year. The device does not get hot on the outside when using the heater and the fan blows cool air unlike how regular fans just push the hot air around. The fan is somewhat loud when set on the higher settings but what fan is completely quiet when on high. ... show more

I have an (really) open space and my central heat and air quits working at about 48 degrees. The outside freezes. I got this to help my fake fireplace (and I have awsome installation in my house when it's 30 outside it's only 62, 64 in my house). With this on hi and 82 temperature set. It brings my open area kitchen, living room to 68. In the pictures above is all the open area in my house (kitchen, living room). It had it's work cut out for it. This is the best heater/fan combo I've ever used. It has an awesome user interface, and is incredibly easy to customize to your liking. I live in a climate that switches back and forth from cold to warm, so I use both aspects of this fan on a regular basis. It's also very helpful with cutting down bills in the winter, as it warms my entire bedroom, so I don't need to rely on my central heating unit nearly as much.
