I typically don't write reviews, but this is share worthy. I have installed a lot of ceiling fans over the years. Installation is usually pretty straight forward but then you have to balance them. No one has every said 'yea, I get to balance a fan". I recently bought 2 of these. Installation wasn't bad. It does not come with mounting screws to mount to the ceiling box. The instructions say to use the screws that came with the box, so I did. If you have big fingers, the fan blade mounting is going to be a little rough. Moment of truth after installing the first fan, how out of balance is it? It wasn't. I was shocked and felt lucky. Time to install the 2nd fan. Installation again went well but I knew I wasn't going to get that lucky twice. Power on, pulled the chain, no wobble at all. I don't know that I will ever buy a big box, name brand ceiling fan again. Oh, it looks great and moves air too. ... show more

We love and need ceiling fans here in the Deep South. I stumbled upon the Prominence Home Bolivar in a quest to replace 2 old Hampton Bay fans that had served us well for over 20 years. WE LOVE THESE FANS! The profile of the fan motor housing is nicely complimented by the lighting kit and the fan blades are stylish without being too edgy. The function is rock solid and this fan does not move when on. The best thing is that the entire fan is white and "disappears" into the ceiling. There are no silver or black parts to draw your eye to the fan. We are expecting a long life from these fans. ... show more

It looked like many parts as I was pulling them from the box; however, the design is smart and makes for an easy one-person install. The fan is quiet, the light is bright, and the blades spin quickly—a good amount of air movement, but not an overwhelming wind tunnel.

The blades weren't the color I was going for so I added my own white wash but that was easy enough. I would give 5 stars but the motor makes an oscillating noise instead of being silent. Fan has been up for a day or two and so far so good. Balance is good and there is no noise. I’ve installed maybe 10 ceiling fans and this was about average for difficulty. Took maybe 45 mins if you include taking the old one off. The light is actually super bright, as opposed to what others have mentioned. The bulbs included with ours were 800 lumens each and we actually will switch them out for some milder. The other fans we put in our house are Hunters and this one holds up fine in comparison for what matters if you’re looking for something cheaper. ... show more

I was very skeptical about buying this ceiling fan as there weren't too many reviews, I hadn't heard of the brand, and couldn't actually see it in person. However, I am so happy I bought it. It was a very reasonably priced fan. My husband had no problem installing by himself and it only took about an hour. The fan looks so nice and was a huge upgrade from our old yellow brass one. This is a very good fan that really cools the room. It’s very quiet. At first it made a humming noise because I installed it on a dimmer switch. Once I changed the switch it was very quiet.
