I thought this fan might be too small when I first saw the 17" blades, but it looks great and moves air really well with the 5 blades. The oak side of blades is the most attractive color. The reverse darker color not so much. I followed the instructions to a T as they were well described and easy to follow. This is a low-profile fan, 5" to bottom of blades and 11.5" to bottom of globe. There's only one, small A15 40W LED bulb but it seems bright enough. The metal finish is dark bronze which I love. Everything is tight to the ceiling, nothing is loose or wobbly, no balancing needed. The best part is the motor is quiet at all three speeds, certainly a lot quieter than my old 52" fan and why I wanted to replace it. I didn't curse at any design aspect of this fan. It's well thought out. I only had to black marks-a-lot the heads of the four casing screws to blend into bronze color. Nothing else extra. I'm happy with this fan and relieved it was easy to assemble. ... show more
