It is so nice to have instructions that make sense. Install went smoothly, thanks to those - this is my first fan install. I removed a light fixture to put the fan in, which was the hardest part really, figuring out how to get that off the ceiling. But once clear, the new fan unpacked and went in without a hitch. This fan is pretty good for the price. It's nearly silent, which is a huge plus, and really moves the air in the small bedroom we installed it in. Be aware of the instructions though, and make sure you're hooking it up to meet your needs, especially if it's in a room with only one "light switch". You can swap around whether you want the light to be controlled with the wall switch or the fan; the instructions seem to gear towards making the fan controlled by the switch, so just be mindful when installing. ... show more

Don't be put off when this little box arrives. I thought I made a mistake when I saw how small the box is but this fan is great in a small bedroom. It is so quiet you don't hear anything at all and the light is plenty bright. It doesn't have a remote which I didn't want anyway since I operate it with a wall switch.
