The media could not be loaded. I acquired this projector with the intention of assessing whether budget projectors have made significant advancements since my initial purchase in 2016. Presently, having gone through four projectors over the years, I now employ the Optoma 55UHD projector. This model boasts 3800 ANSI lumens and delivers excellent 4K projection on my 150-inch screen in the living room. While I did not anticipate the Vimio p10 to present any noteworthy competition to my current projector, nor did I expect to receive relatively sharp imagery with respectable colors and ample brightness in a dimly lit room on a 100-inch screen. Surprisingly, I found the Vimio p10 to be a pleasant revelation. In this price range, seven years ago, the projector I purchased was notably inferior compared to the current model. The Vimio p10 is a visually appealing and modern projector with a 1080p resolution (and indeed, it achieves this resolution rather than falsely claiming it, unlike some other manufacturers that ostensibly offer 720p). While it struggles to display a satisfactory image in a well-lit but manages well in partially illuminated room, it performs remarkably well in complete darkness, offering a very pleasing image quality. Highly recommended for movie watching and sports events. It provides excellent value for its price. The sound quality is surprisingly clear and robust. I would not be content with the built-in operating system on the device, as the applications are limited in quality and compatibility. I purchased this Vimgo projector to have movie nights by the pool. It was a replacement for the Pericat Projector, which would not run HDMI and customer support's only suggestion was to return for a replacement as this is apparently a known issue. I would not advise purchasing that brand at all. The Vimgo allows for internal apps to be downloaded; which was my primary reason for purchasing it. This is very easy and straightforward. Mostly, the family watches either Amazon Prime or Netflix. While the installation was fine; neither app looks or works like apps on TV or a smart phone. Additionally, there are 2 apps for viewing Amazon products ~ Amazon Prime, and Fire TV. The Fire TV app is most frustrating, very difficult to navigate, and I use the Amazon Prime app instead. All of the apps could use more development and refinement. They have been greatly simplified; and are challenging to use. Compounding the issue is the extremely UN-user Friendly remote. which requires 3-step operation. Step 1: Select Cursor Button Step 2: Use the arrow keys to scroll up/down, right/left Step 3: Select OK As one might imagine; this requires a number of steps to select various options, and makes it very difficult to turn on subtitles or make other changes. The cursor *SHOULD* at a minimum be free floating. This definitely needs some WORK. HDMI & USB connections are both plug & play. I attempted to try screen mirroring but received an error message on the projector screen: "WARNING: You may be a victim of software counterfeiting. In order to ensure your AirScreen normal to use, please download the AirScreen app through Google Play." I made the decision to leave that well enough alone. (I had connected my iPhone with the Pericat; and it displayed portrait--not the best for viewing anyway.) I would rather just hardwire with an HDMI cable and not take a chance. We felt that both the picture quality & speakers were adequate. The projector is sitting on our back outdoor dining area (under roof), and is shot across the shallow end of the pool to a tarp type screen attached to the pool cage (approximately 22'). Sitting in the Dining area (with the projector), movies can be clearly heard with the settings at around 50-60. We obviously don't want to annoy the neighbors, and nothing can be heard in front of the house at all, there's a very small amount of noise on either side of the backyard at the fence line. Auxiliary speakers would definitely be needed if an inflatable screen was used, as the blower is quite noisy. All in all, I feel that this projector is a good deal for the money. Nice looking projector, modern and slick. It’s quieter than the first one I tried out and seems good at not getting hot. Set up was easy but using it was frustrating because it did not have all the apps I wanted even though Peacock is pictured in their listing. Built in apps were difficult to scroll— it’s not like the regular apps you get on smart tvs. The Netflix was particularly difficult. Mirroring did not work. I tried on my OS and my guy tried his Android. With the Android at least he saw the projector wifi, just couldn’t connect. I only saw the wifi once on my iPhone. Tried using a firestick to salvage the purchase, it wouldn’t read it either. After a couple of days, it’s having issues picking up the wifi signal. I was disappointed wt the picture quality because it looked so much better on the listing but I was told it was pretty good for a projector. Overall I was so disappointed because of the many great reviews I read here. Have to return it. Cost too much to have something not do so much it’s promised to. ... show more

Aside from a couple annoying things like a small protruding mounting nub on the bottom, and audio popping with Bluetooth headphones, this projector makes a huge gorgeous image with short throw. The built in speakers are also impressive, which I’d imagine most people will use over bluetooth headphones. The integrated operating system is also a nice add on, and is perfectly useable for its purposes. No real image adjustments though when using apps like HBO etc… so blacks will be a little crushed. You can adjust these settings when connected through hdmi to gaming systems etc which is great. Overall, its easy to get past the few faults at this price point. The image projected is very good. From a distance of about 8 feet we get an image of about 3x5 feet. The color and brightness is also very good, even good during the day. The keystone projection is also outstanding, though it could be better if it was automatic. Keystone adjusts the corners so if the projector isn’t straight on, you can make the image rectangle. The App Store is great. Every app we wanted or looked for is available. My only complaint is the remote doesn’t interface with the apps very well. Maybe we missed something, but the remote basically works like a really really bad mouse to select apps, menu items or movies and shows. Basically when you press the up button, the mouse moves really really slow. If you get this projector, buy a wireless mouse. We bought one for $10 on Amazon and pretty much don’t use the remote in favor of the mouse. ... show more

I liked this projector, it is a very high quality projector. I had another projector in the past that although it cost much less, it was not as high quality as this one and in my opinion it is definitely better to pay more money to get better quality. The sound system is very loud and high quality which is very important and in addition I liked the possibility to direct the screen so that even if I bring the projector closer or further away from the screen or move it to the side I can direct the image so that I get a good and straight image which is very necessary sometimes.. I didn't like that it was stationary but I knew before I bought it so I can't complain about it anyway it's a very high quality projector and in my opinion it's worth its price ... show more

The Vimeo is good for the price, but do yourself a favor and avoid using its ancient app interface in favor of a $20 1080p Google Chromecast with Google TV. Then you'll have access to almost all apps and a much more user friendly interface as well. Pros: Good color and brightness. Cons: The built in streamer pixelates and isn't smooth. The ancient Vimeo app store is lacking variety (no YouTube TV for example). Both issues are fixed by plugging in a Chromecast with Google TV and avoiding the Vimeo interface all together. ... show more

This projector is probably the best I've ever owned. The colors are super vibrant as shown. They keystone corner correction is amazing; I can have the projector at an extreme angle and it'll still look great. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I love how I can cast from my phone or chose an app for the large app store to watch my favorite content. I've never had a projector that has the ability to adjust focus using the remote; it's very handy! The speakers are loud and clear with deep bass. This projector works so convenient with WiFi and screen mirror builded in, I can screen mirror my videos from my iPhone in seconds or just log in YouTube app which was installed in and watch my favorite sport games in great videos quality pictures and sounds.
