I used this to find a buried piece of one of my garden machines that broke. I tried my other metal detector first, but it wouldn't locate the part. This detector found it within a few minutes. It was buried around 5 inches deep. Very clear and loud audible tone and visual signal.

I started shopping for a new metal detector right after mine broke. Metal detecting is addicting and i didnt know what to do without it. After searching for a bit i came across this one and it was in my budget and from the description, it sounded good. Plus i really liked that it was orange, thats one of my favorite colors, so i ordered it. Im glad i did because i really like it. Its really easy to put together, easy to use, and very light. My other one showed what it was on the screen and had different tones so i got lazy and i learned when i got this one that i missed a lot of things. The first day using it i found a 1965 silver dime! The only thing i dont like about it, is that the battery compartment cover is sometimes really hard to get off. Dont know if it happens to everyone but its that way for me. Its a great detector, at a cheap price. Cant beat that, its a definate must have!

I didn't really find any gold...but I did find about 10 coins or so in my back yard! it's pretty useful! I wish I had this when my friend lost her ring in her yard, it would of saved us so much time! I haven't taken this to the beach yet, don't know how well it will do under water, I'll update once I give it a try. Over all this is pretty fun to play around with. Not heavy at all, I was holding it for over an hour or so. The downside to this is it's battery powered, so I have to make sure to get extra batteries if I'm taking this outside, also it's pretty hard to change the battery out. But other than that over all the product is pretty good.

Always wanted one of these when I was a kid, but they were very expensive. When I saw this on Amazon I said I had to give it a try. It came nicely packaged and not very difficult to put it together. It takes six AA batteries, so if you are into instant gratification make sure to have them on hand when it arrives. Seems to be a good value for the price. I have not had a chance to head out to the beach to try it yet, but have tested it around the back yard. Had someone throw a bunch of coins out on the lawn and I was quickly able to find them in the deep grass with this. It is a lot of fun to use and hope I can find some valuables in the sand at the beach soon.

Amazing, I completely love it. It has given me a nice hobby to start working on. The device is very accurate and I love how you can disassemble it and reassemble it in ease. It's really fun to use and it can burn off some extra time on the side. Its fun to take to parks and just walk around, I also love how you can insert a headphone wire and listen in through your headphones. Overall a good buy

The advertisement on here says it detects gold but it only detects Iron, nickel, copper and silver. If the gold has enough of that with it, it might find it but not gold itself.
