After reading other reviews I thought I would give this product a try. Every time our water softener would regenerate the water would be brown in color and clear up after a short time. The water was soft but brown. I was about ready to buy new resin for the softener when I saw this product. This stuff is a lot cheaper then new resin so I gave it a try. I followed the instruction and after the first use it worked. I did it one more time and now I just add some to the salt every time I add a bag of salt. It worked for me. This is the recommended cleaner by my EcoWater refiner and softener system. You use it once a month; take one small cup full and pour it into the stack inside and add 1 gallon of water then immediately recharge your system, it works wonders, no junk, no flavor, no Mess, no fuss.
