I would have "loved it" if I didn't have to assemble the handle onto the pot! I know that sounds insignificant but after a couple months the handle is getting loose which isn't too cool when you're dealing with a pressure cooker. I think Presto could fully assemble this type of product. As far as cooking, I DO love it. It comes with a recipe book & cooking guide. So far it's very accurate & I've been very pleased with the meals I have cooked with this cooker. Clean up is a breeze. I would look at models that possibly have the handle assembled just because I feel this is a safety issue. I would still recommend this product. ... show more

I love pressure cookers. I have 2 pressure canners, one old and one new. I have an ancient 6 quart Presto cooker, a Hawkins 1-1/2 L model, a microwave pressure cooker, and this one. I use them every day, which surprised me, because I rarely used to use my original pressure cooker, and it sat in the cellar for years unused. There's no substitute for having the right size pressure cooker. You want it to be no more than 2/3rds full. This is a good size for a dinner in a pot for a family of four, or leftovers, as I do. I make roasts, stews, soups, and vegetables in it all the time. It's also great for beans, which should be soaked overnight and rinsed well before cooking to prevent foaming. I have only used this for making hard "boiled" eggs and it works great. Steaming the eggs makes them peel like magic. I was a little intimidated by the pressure cooker at first but after doing the eggs, I feel I will use this a lot more often.
