Very bad experience of this brand. I have this brand one 10 year old which works still but this one in just one use got marked and discoloration inside and I have trusted this brand even though bad reviews and bad pics after use. I am really sad and upset as it's too late for me to return as missed dead line. Please do not buy at all I got 12 qt..bigger size of it. I never had any bad product like this on amazon. Please save your money and use on buying other cooker but not this one. I wish I have believed to other reviews and even though I have seen bad pics I bought it. The media could not be loaded. Before returning my item I thought I’m get it another try trying to close the cooker. It just won’t close. Posting pictures below. I had to discard half a kg pulao. It’s not that I don’t know how to use a pressure cooker. I have been using prestige cookers for the past 15 years was very surprised with the quality of this.

I got this pressure cooker because I didn't want yet another single-use appliance that takes up counter space like the Instapot and its variations. I got the 5L cooker and so far it's been great. It did get discolored after the first use, on the inside as mentioned by other reviews, but I don't really see that as a problem considering its uncoated aluminum, and you should expect the metal to change hue with heat. I also read some reviews mentioning that theirs exploded, and so far I haven't had any issues with mine, but I must say the risk of a possible death while cooking makes the finished product all that more flavorful. Maybe one day it will explode and bring some excitement into this bland existence.

I am unhappy because I wanted to purchase a stailess steel cooker pressure and this is Aluminum. I made my request to return it by paying a $5.98 shipping fee and my request was approved, but after that I receive an email from the seller that I would need to pay $20 outbound fee/shiiping. I do not agree with that so I ended up having to keep the pressurre cooker that I did not want.

Looks like prestige is not making great products as it used to. I am really disappointed with the quality of product. On first use heard a loud noise and gasket gave up. Can't believe how could this happen. Not just the Gasket build is so flimsy that it shakes/vibrates a lot when in use. I have stopped using it as i don't think it is safe to use anymore. I suggest buyers to look else where and don't waste your money on this product.

I have been using prestige cookers for a long time. This new Prestige popular is very similar to the previous models I used to own. Pros - working very well. Have been using it for rice, and lentils. Cons - The lid is very light compared to previous models. I'm not sure I would use to cook food directly in this cooker, as I worry about durability. Right now cooking rice and lentis in an inner vessel ,and that is working great. Will update if there is any change. Update in Nov 2021 - In less than 2 months, the cooker just made a bursting sound when i was pressure cooking some lentils. The water sprayed everywhere. Turns out to be faulty gasket. This is unacceptable.

So i ordered 3 of this 2 for gifts and one fot myself becauseof the great price and reviews but honestly is a piece of garbage. My mom, mother- in-law's and mine as well exploded making a huge mess and a scary moment for all. We all live in different states. At first I thought my mom was not using it properly, then I just assume the same for mother-in-law but it happened to me as well. I had it for ovet a month before I used it and I will never use it again. 2 of the top bottoms were the same one was different and that was my button. At first I thought that was the problem but like I said mine was different and same thing happened. I'm not sure what heat settings they had it on but I had it on 5 for about 20 max and boom disaster. My seeting goes up to 9 and then hi so is not like I was miss using it. Luckly no one was in kitchen at the time of the accidents but I only wonder what if one of us were. I got burned a bit trying to turn the stove off. I never picked it up because it was crazy to do so. If you happen to have little kids and still don't believe PLEASE make sure they are not in the kitchen while you use it. You can end up regretting it. All the lids or buttoms I should say maybe a different noise fromthe ones we have had in the past. So much for a gift. I will never give anyone anything that works with pressure just in case. My mom since bought a different brand in P.R and it works fine. My mother-in- law in NJ uses it without the bottom but as fot myself well... Mine went in thr garbage. I will continye to cook old fashioned. In a regular pot even if it takes hours. The scary moment is not worth trying any other product.

MUST PRESS DOWN ON LID TO CLOSE IT. WHISTLE IS A SHRIEK AND SCARY. ALL EDGES ARE ROUGH AND SHARP. IT IS CHEAPLY CONSTRUCTED AND CAME WITH A CHIPPED HANDLE AND SCRATCHES. POOR QUALITY CONTROL. DON'T BUY!
