I needed a bunkie board to go on top of wooden slats that are too far apart for my latex mattress. I got this bunkie board after reading reviews for other ones on Amazon. The other ones are made of some kind of wood composite and are pretty heavy. Also, the reviews indicated that the sizing on the other ones was incorrect, an issue I have run into before with similar products. Honestly, it was hard to even find a product that matched what I needed. Anyway, this one is perfectly sized for a queen bed, lightweight, sturdy, easy to put on the bed, and has non-stick covering applied to the bottom. I was happy to find a bunkie board that would accommodate a new 14" inch mattress on a very old iron bed frame. I'd originally purchased the bottom innerspring unit that was to go with the mattress. Not a good idea because the bed then became too tall for me to get into without hopping onto the mattress. The Meliusly bunkie board that I purchased did the job of the innerspring. This bunkie board is such high-quality and it fits my king bedframe perfectly. I’ve only had my mattress for a month and I thought that it was sagging, but it was really just slipping through the bars of the metal box frame. After adding the funky board, I can feel the difference in my bed. If it’s comfortable is the first day. It’s a great value for the money and I love the included eye mask, and letter from the owners. It’s fully assembled. You just have to take the two pieces and lay one across the bottom and one across the top and then put the mattress back on. It works well. Decent quality but a little overpriced. Sellers sent an eye mask as an appreciation gift which was very nice of them. I gave it 4-stars because there are others very similar for a lot less. Easy to assemble. Light weight.

We bought this because of continued issues with our king bed (we inherited through the purchase of a house) that was just too soft (despite also having box springs). Full disclosure, we also installed center bed supports beneath the box springs to give the center of the bed more support. We like the bed, but kept having issues with our backs and shoulders. The bunkie board is one of the few that we found to fit a king bed and the folding design made it very easy to install and has a smartly placed gripper side to avoid sliding. I love this. We put that directly on our box springs. We also loved that, because a king bed has two box springs with vertical support, the bunkie board running horizontal was an additional support cross beam. The mattress slid into place easily. It does add a bit of height to the bed, but it’s not overt significant and our dogs were still able to find their way onto the bed! We found the boards to be very strong and sturdy and I felt confident they would support the weight of my husband and I. The first night, I slept 12 much-needed hours. Here’s what we found. First, the bed is definitely firmer and it’s easier to roll (you don’t get so sunk in that rolling is difficult). My husband weighs 90 pounds more than me, and usually the bed sinks so far, that I just sink to his side every night. That is no longer an issue, and the firmness of the bunkie support. The media could not be loaded. I am in shock with this product. The steadiness is not bad pretty thick. It is actually very sturdy on the bottom it grips on my metal platform. Great. My mattress does not slide around on top of the silicone part. I did put a butt skirt on top of it. It does support the mattress that was digging in between my platforms that were metal before this product. My mattress is still invented from the metal platform pieces and I’ve had this mattress brand new for three months. I’m so glad I found this product no more sagging and the mattress support is great. I went to Home Depot a couple of days ago to get plywood to fix the problem, but it would’ve been 50 bucks less or so, but it would not fit in my car and I would have to cut it in four pieces.
