This is a good lawn mower. The rear wheel drive gave me some problems -- just a learning curve. I'm used to a Toro with FWD. When you lower the handle for the turns, this one keeps on pulling, unless you learn to release the drive lever at the bottom of the handle each time! The speed is really good, however -- it will gladly PULL you FAST if you don't back off the drive handle thing now and then! My problems: 1. SLOW DELIVERY! OMG! They ship from Carol Stream, IL, via FedEx land truck, and it took 8 days to get to me in Las Vegas, NV! Illinois, Houston, El Paso, Chandler AZ (Phoenix) finally Henderson NV (suburb of Las Vegas). And after arrival, Amazon showed it Out for Delivery on 8 Sep 2022, and yet... FedEx returned it to their warehouse within 30 minutes and Amazon never knew! I ordered on 1 Sep and it did not arrive until 9 Sep afternoon. Amerisun needs to make some serious improvements on their delivery system and choices, and/or place many products in Amazon warehouses all over the country so Prime members like me can receive them in the usual 2 or 3 days! 2. IT BROKE within 10 minutes! I carefully removed the mower from the shipping carton, assembled it perfectly per the enclosed instructions, added the required oil, filled the gas tank,and it started right up! But... after just about 10 minutes of mowing, even though I had it set a level 3 cutting height (about 3" tall), it skimmed an exposed tree root in my grass and... the engine QUIT! I think the engine crankshaft or bearing was not correctly assembled, because I think the crankshaft has broken. The blade wobbles. And the engine won't start. I drained the oil and gas, disassembled the mower, and repacked it back up in the original carton exactly as it arrived. I called Amerisun customer service, but it was Friday afternoon and they won't answer until Monday. Their warranty is supposed to allow a replacement or a refund. I shipped the mower back all snugged up in the original carton, after they sent me a prepaid shipping label. Sadly, Amerison REFUSED to replace and REFUSED to send me a refund! They said this was operator error or something like that. They have the mower, I want a refund. It is in like-new condition (only used about 10 minutes), except for the engine crankshaft. All they have to do is replace that shaft, and they could sell the mower again --- to another customer. ... show more

This is the tightest bag packing mower i have ever had. You have to do more work at the dumpster or whatever you dump your clippings in but what used to take 4 or 5 trips with other mowers only takes 2 at most with this bagger. It is light weight and the self propelled speed works well although is not adjustable. Cuts through high weeds and grass well. I have plugged up the side discharge but considdering what was being cut it is not surprising. Expect to have green hands after manually pulling the clippings out of the bag if filling to full capacity. Assembly was straight forward. It was 2 day short of 3 weeks for my Mower to roar to life. It arrived Damaged. Front wheel was bent and broken along with the front Axel. Contacted OEM through Amazon and informed them that I could fix the damage if they supplied the parts. Worked with Melody (She was great) Understood what I needed. Thought all was well only to find the parts were not shipped by the other agent. When the parts were shipped (2 of them, 3 were needed and they knew that). I specifically told them how and when I wanted them shipped and the request fell of Deaf Ears. After all the parts were sent and replaced I finally fired up the machine and was impressed at how well it worked. With the difficulty given to me by PowerSmart customer service, I will think twice before ordering things like this on Amazon. FYI Many reviews say it is hard to start, that's true but only when it's warmed up. Cold start 2 pulls max. Picture is the part the forgot to ship. ... show more

This is mower is very powerful, but it is difficult to start. If you stop for any reason, you will have to wait at least 25 to 30 mins before you get it to start again. The engine seemed to be made of solid material; it weights nearly 70lbs. However, some components of the mower don't seem to be of quality material. The padded handlebar tore as we assembled. The rear skirt is very flimsy. It got sucked under the mower and ripped to shreds. The back wheels are made of some hard plastic. It was difficult for the wheels to gain traction, so there was a lot of back-wheel spinning if the self propel was engaged while going up a damp incline. The self propel takes a little getting used to, as the mower can easily get away from you if you fully engage this feature. The walk is quite brisk when using the self-propelled mode. While mowing, a bolt that locks the handles in place disengaged because a small metal piece had slipped out from underneath its plastic housing. I spent half an hour scanning my yard for it. I wanted to like this mower, but too many warnings signs were going off for me to keep it. I saw both glowing and scathing reviews on this mower. I tend to think both are true. Some people got dependable machines, while others, like me, got a dud. I wished the manufacturer spent as much time on other components of the mower as they did on making the engine powerful. I would not recommend ordering this mower because it's a hassle if you have to ship it back, but I would take a chance and buy it from a brick and mortar store. ... show more
