The media could not be loaded. Edit 2023. After 1 year of mowing the mower runs and looks brand new. The blades are still sharp and the oil is like I just put it in. By far the best mower on the market. Excels over higher priced mowers. If you need a mower, and you take care of this one. It will last a long time. 🧑🎄 The video was taken mowing the yard a day after storms and the grass was taller and wetter than I like to cut. The Mower was pretty quiet and did try to bog down, but never died. The first mulching mower I owned actually worked, and I usually own Honda mowers. Very pleased with this purchase. Came delivered in a huge box and packaged perfectly.     • Pure junk with zero support
I should have known. The first danger signal was the forward motion. This thing is literally a workout keeping up with its speed, and there's no way to correct it. That part I could handle. The leaf catcher is worse: it's poorly-engineered slots to hold the catcher in place aren't deep enough. It falls off every minute or so, forcing you to stop, reattach it, and fire up again. The back plastic mat to protect one from flying stones etc. fell off. Then, the cutting blade suddenly disengaged and would no longer turn, making the piece of junk utterly useless. Bad, huh? Wait until you try to get help. On hold for 65 minutes before I gave up. Website doesn't work: when I clicked on Service Centers, it took me to a pay-for-parts page. No contact info. Since I bought it from Amazon - a company I've had extraordinarily good experience with - I logged in to discover I'd missed my possible return date. Instructions were to contact the manufacturer through the Amazon app. I did, explaining the problem about the cutting blade. I received a response: "Send picture, we send broken part." Pigeon English. "It's not broken," I explained once more. "It needs a service center." I gave up when I got another similar response. So poor product and no service. I also, sadly, blame Amazon. They shouldn't be selling junk like this. And they failed to reply to my complaints. First time I've ever had a problem with them, and I use Amazon a lot. FOLLOW UP. PowerSmart offered to reimburse me if I shipped the mower back to them in Illinois. Problem, of course, is that I would have to pay for the shipping which EXCEEDED the price of the mower. When I pointed that out to them, they then offered to pay for repairs at any local shop. Since I already bought a new Craftsman lawnmower (works really, really well) I have no use for their mower and wouldn't feel right selling it to someone else. I'll junk it. ... show more

    • Pretty good mower, but it BROKE within 10 minutes!
This is a good lawn mower. The rear wheel drive gave me some problems -- just a learning curve. I'm used to a Toro with FWD. When you lower the handle for the turns, this one keeps on pulling, unless you learn to release the drive lever at the bottom of the handle each time! The speed is really good, however -- it will gladly PULL you FAST if you don't back off the drive handle thing now and then! My problems: 1. SLOW DELIVERY! OMG! They ship from Carol Stream, IL, via FedEx land truck, and it took 8 days to get to me in Las Vegas, NV! Illinois, Houston, El Paso, Chandler AZ (Phoenix) finally Henderson NV (suburb of Las Vegas). And after arrival, Amazon showed it Out for Delivery on 8 Sep 2022, and yet... FedEx returned it to their warehouse within 30 minutes and Amazon never knew! I ordered on 1 Sep and it did not arrive until 9 Sep afternoon. Amerisun needs to make some serious improvements on their delivery system and choices, and/or place many products in Amazon warehouses all over the country so Prime members like me can receive them in the usual 2 or 3 days! 2. IT BROKE within 10 minutes! I carefully removed the mower from the shipping carton, assembled it perfectly per the enclosed instructions, added the required oil, filled the gas tank,and it started right up! But... after just about 10 minutes of mowing, even though I had it set a level 3 cutting height (about 3" tall), it skimmed an exposed tree root in my grass and... the engine QUIT! I think the engine crankshaft or bearing was not correctly assembled, because I think the crankshaft has broken. The blade wobbles. And the engine won't start. I drained the oil and gas, disassembled the mower, and repacked it back up in the original carton exactly as it arrived. I called Amerisun customer service, but it was Friday afternoon and they won't answer until Monday. Their warranty is supposed to allow a replacement or a refund. I shipped the mower back all snugged up in the original carton, after they sent me a prepaid shipping label. Sadly, Amerison REFUSED to replace and REFUSED to send me a refund! They said this was operator error or something like that. They have the mower, I want a refund. It is in like-new condition (only used about 10 minutes), except for the engine crankshaft. All they have to do is replace that shaft, and they could sell the mower again --- to another customer. ... show more

    • Packs bag tight
This is the tightest bag packing mower i have ever had. You have to do more work at the dumpster or whatever you dump your clippings in but what used to take 4 or 5 trips with other mowers only takes 2 at most with this bagger. It is light weight and the self propelled speed works well although is not adjustable. Cuts through high weeds and grass well. I have plugged up the side discharge but considdering what was being cut it is not surprising. Expect to have green hands after manually pulling the clippings out of the bag if filling to full capacity. Assembly was straight forward. Attach handlebars, fill with gas and pre measured oil bottle supplied then start mowing. ... show more
