Long story short, but my matress is too soft, and I previously bought a topper that has better support but needed an extra little layer of comfort on the top. This seems to have done the trick. I read the reviews before purchasing, and I honestly believe that the people who are claiming this doesn't have enough padding are probably people that don't know the difference between a mattress pad and a mattress topper. As a matress pad (which is what this is) it is soft and seems to be well made. If you're looking to add inches of comfort, you need a topper. Not a matress pad. My matress is 14 inches and my topper adds another 4 inches. The matress pad fit well over both with a gentle tug, but I'm not sure if it would fit very well if it was another inch or two. Just something to keep in mind. So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

My partner and I were looking for a new mattress cover, and we decided on this one. It looked so comfy and inviting in the photo. And, it's not bad, it's just not perfect. The mattress cover fits the mattress on our platform bed well, but I do wish it offered more softness, comfort, and relief from pain. My partner and I have both had multiple orthopedic surgeries, and we suffer from chronic pain. This mattress cover helps, but if it were thicker and softer, it would be a lot more comfortable. I am the proverbial "princess and the pea." If there's even a wrinkle in my sleep shirt, I will not be able to sleep until I smooth it out, and I usually wake sore and stiff. My partner is less demanding, and he can sleep in about anything. He also likes a firmer mattress than I do, so for him, this would probably be a five-star topper. The topper does wash well and it keeps our mattress nice and clean and fresh. I guess I will just have to spring for a new mattress so I'm happy, too.

My decision to purchase this waterproof mattress pad was made because of a few reasons: it looked to have more filling than other pads at this price point, it had thick elastic to hold it in place, and it was advertised to have pockets that were deep enough to fit a mattress from 8 to 21 inches tall. I do like that it feels substantial and is comfortable; however, it definitely would not fit a mattress as tall as they state in the listing. I wanted a mattress cover that could be tucked in at least a couple of inches under the mattress. This mattress cover cannot do that. The claim that the "knitted pocket stretches up to 21 inch deep" is not true. My mattress is 14 inches and it can barely be tucked in on the sides. The picture of the elastic fitting way, way under the mattress is not accurate. Perhaps this would happen with an 8-inch mattress, but certainly not with a much deeper one as advertised. This product is sealed in a plastic bag that, when opened, allows the cover to expand. As a result, there is no way that I can fit this into the box and return it. I'll use this but I'm not entirely happy.
