Came perfect, easy to put on steering wheel, seat and hook up battery... Has oil in it.. it was hard for me as a women to get it out of crate, but got it all broke down, to the bottom part of crate. but delivery men had it sitting on a pallet under the crate..so it was basically sitting on the deck, not tires, (which I could have just drove over/ off crate) if it weren't on pallet... but luckily a guy friend came and we were able to lift it off the pallet/crate... Delivery was the worst part.. lack of communication, false delivery emails, no call when they were close to delivering (ceva)...looks great, mows great, happy with the mower... ... show more

Arrived as advertised. However, it quit driving on the 2nd use. So after mowing a grand total of 1.25 acres I am waiting on a call back from support for warranty repairs. Spend that little extra and buy Husqvarna.

From the start let me say that the item itself was in perfect shape. Not a dent or scratch, and once I got it unpacked and assembled it started immediately without any fuss. That said the 'crate' it came in was a real piece of work to take apart and get off the trailer. I shouldn't pitch a fit because I'm 80 and this old gray guy ain't what I used to be. Anyway, it did its first complete yard mowing, about 1/2 acre +, without a hitch and once I get used to the different controls from my older Craftsman it will be fine. Plenty of torque and as much speed as you might need, but for me what passes for #3 on the CVT speed setting was relaxing. The brake/clutch peddle on the left takes some getting used to since it engages 'right now' if you get my drift. Locally these had been advertised at $23-2400 so I think the price ($2049 shipped) was a solid buy. Oh, yeah. That doesn't include the 5% I get back so I see it as costing $1997 I'm 6'2" so even with the seat back as far as it will go I'm a bit cramped for leg room but aside from that the seating is comfortable. The turning circle is small enough and certainly quick enough, so it doesn't require a lot of horsing to get around the yard and the many obstacles. I expect that with proper care and a good cleaning after every use that it will give me all the mower I need for however many years I'll be mowing any lawns<G><G> ... show more

First time buying a lawnmower new and first time buying a riding mower. Same one they had at lowes for 100 dollars less and it was delivered to my door. Packaging was a flimsy crate that did it's job, it didn't arrive with any dents or scratches that I noticed. Assembly was easy put the seat and steering wheel on, connect the supplied battery under the seat, and add fuel (check the oil level, the dipstick is also the fill cap mine came perfectly topped off) it fired right up without choking and battery was charged. It was honestly so much easier than I thought it would be. Now for anecdotal examples, I'm 6'1" and 210 this machine is too small for me but my wife (who I bought this for is absolutely perfect she is 5'5") she is able to push the pedal all the way down just barely with the seat in the furthest back position. It has 7 speeds you can't select between them unless you push the brake/clutch in, it doesn't allow you to engage the blades while in reverse. It cuts 3 weeks of growth on setting 3 without much drama. I'll probably get it a different blade and order the bigger deck for it. Other than that it should run fine for a long time. It's not overbuilt but it's also not top of the line price either. 2000 for a simple ride on mower is pretty steep. Overall I'd say this is good for it intended purpose but prob won't do much else. ... show more

I purchased this mower from Amazon only because Sears is no longer in business. I am very disappointed. The mower came enclosed somewhat with boards, resting on a pallet. My husband had to use his hammer to remove all the boards which was very tedious. Then, surprise, the mower was not put together totally, so he had to assemble the parts that were not on. NEVER again would I purchase any large item from Amazon. It was $100 cheaper than Lowe's and I fell for that. Happily, the mower is up and running. Hopefully, we will get another 18 year run from this one. I am not optimistic. This one is not as sturdy and well-built as the one we bought from Sears 2008. Let's see! I gave it 3 stars because of the manner in which it was delivered, compared to when Sears delivered it. We had to do nothing but poured gasoline in and drive. ... show more
