I got this mower after mine bite the dust. I was unsure about the brand but after many mows.I highly recommend this mower and brand. Cuts Clean and starts one pull every time. Size is perfect for mid to smaller lawns. Easy to adjust wheels and bag empty. Feels light when rolling. Has enough Power to cut through 9" high grass. I've been using the PowerSmart Push Gas Lawn Mower with a 21-inch cutting deck and 144cc engine, and it's been a solid experience so far. The first thing I noticed is how light and easy it is to maneuver. Even with the bag attached, pushing it around the yard doesn't require much effort. When it comes to cutting grass, this mower performs exceptionally well. It delivers a clean, even cut across different grass heights, and I haven't had any issues with uneven patches. The 21-inch deck covers a good amount of ground, reducing the number of passes needed to mow the lawn, which saves time. One feature that stands out is its ability to handle small branches and yard debris. I often pile up twigs and small branches, and this mower shreds them efficiently, which is impressive for a push mower in this class. The mulching function is another high point. It grinds the grass into fine clippings that are evenly distributed back into the lawn, promoting healthy growth and saving me from having to deal with bags of grass clippings. Switching between bagging, mulching, and side discharge is straightforward, which adds to its versatility. First things first, the order was processed, shipped and delivered as advertised. The box showed no signs of damage whatsoever. Unboxing was simple enough and assembly (If you want to call it that) was simple and straight forward. There was a container with the required amount of oil, and a funnel in the box. Also the side discharge chute and rear bag and even a spark plug wrench. After putting the oil in, adding gas, I pressed the primer bulb the required number of times...after a few pulls, I repeated the primer routine and the motor came to life. There was a brief puff of smoke, but it dicipated quickly. I didn't panic, but attributed to being new and probably some residual from manufacturing. I only ran the mower for a few minutes, cutting only a small patch. It was the hottest part of the day, but the motor seemed strong... The following morning I gave the machine it's first workout. I mowed an area that I hadn't been able to mow for a couple of weeks. The area was fairly high and thick. The mower demonstrated plenty of power and had no trouble cutting through even though the grass was kind of wet. First impressions are favorable. The mower seems to have plenty of power. The entire machine is just about the perfect weight, not too light so it doesn't bounce, not too heavy making it easy enough to push. I live a bit north of Houston, and we are having high temps near 100° so after break in I will most likely switch from the 10W 30 oil that it came with, and go with SAE 30W The machine seems to be a good value. Not a bunch of bells and whistles, no blade brake, no self propelled, no electric start, just a basic piece of equipment. Edit: I am giving an update because after some use I have noticed a couple of issues. First thing is very shortly after I began using the machine, the rubber deflector mounted at the rear of the mower became detached. It was held in place by molded tabs pushed through holes not by any type of hardware. I could petition the manufacturer for a new part, but that part would have the same design and weakness. I will repair it using mechanical fasteners so no great shakes. Secondly, I have noticed that when I mowing to move something or just to grab a drink, restarting the machine can be difficult. Whereas in a cold start usually the machine will start on the first pull. I have a little over half an acre inside the fence and another 15' across the front, so the machine and I get a workout. Still, the machine has plenty of power. It cuts through the thickest grass with little effort.

Bought this less than a year ago and I hoped it would get better over time, boy was I wrong. Let's start with the pro's, there aren't many. It is light weight, easy to maneuver, starts easy (after the first couple of uses), and has a good capacity clipping bag. The cons: - First couple of times I tried to start it, it was very difficult. - The oil dipstick is hard to read, so you don't know how much oil to add/replace - It is constantly billowing out clouds of oily smoke and it's hard to tell if there is too much oil in it or not enough (clouds happened during both instances - I bought this to collect grass clippings and it does a ok job, and by ok it isn't what I wanted. It leaves clippings on the right side of the mower, and I found I had to double cut every row I made. It also blows grass out of the top and bottom of where the bag connects to the mower (it is not a tight connection) - The flap in the back/bottom is attached by cheap rubber tabs which broke off after about a month, luckily it still left enough of a pattern to see where I mowed - The collection bag is loosely attached to the frame, and was constantly falling off when I was carrying it to empty into the garbage can (picture attached) - Where the collection bag connects to the mower is not flush and the door would get stuck on the bag and would need to be wiggled/adjusted in order to fully connect the two - Last, but definitely not least, the front wheels basically broke off. They are attached to the metal deck with cheap plastic, which broke after less than a year of use (with a break for Michigan winter). I'll attach 2 pictures showing this break and how the metal deck is now resting on the ground.
