UPDATE TO THE BELOW REVIEW: After leaving this review, I was offered a replacement frother (shipped free of charge and no need to return the original one). I've been using the replacement for a week and it works much better, very good spinning. TLDR: the seller has good customer service and if you get one that doesn't work quite right, reach out to them to request a replacement! I guess you get what you pay for. This works fine but it rarely starts spinning on an even axis, so the whole thing shakes and doesn't do the perfect whirring I was hoping for. I can manually put my fingers around the stem, once it's on, to correct it and get it to spin perfectly around it's central axis, but if it touches anything at all (like the side of a container), it starts spinning more wildly again. Still, I froth milk for my coffee a few times a week and it does the job, so none of this is a deal breaker, just disappointing. ... show more

I could care less for foamy milk in my coffee. I wanted this for protein shakes. pros: - mixes protein shakes very well! This is way better than using a spoon or shakerball. There are no clumps in my mix, so I am wasting less protein powder now. - it's quiet. - it's easy to clean. I just run it under the tap and wipe it with my finger. - it's cheap. Good value for the money. cons: - The shaft is a too short for very tall glasses. It might still mix it OK, but if there is powder at the bottom it might not reach it. - Batteries are a b*tch to install! I mean, they are in there tight! I will have to use a screwdriver to pry them out when it's time to change them. That's going to mar up my rechargeables, so I will be using non-rechargeables from now on. Too bad. - You kind of have to press the button pretty hard. ... show more

I did have an issue getting the batteries in. You really need to shove it in there! Hopefully, I can get it out. I really didn’t know what I was missing until now. I don’t like adding milk or cream to my coffee because it dilutes it and changes the flavor. I switched to powdered cream which doesn’t mix easily when directly added and I end up with a few small lumps. The PowerLix helps eliminate all the lumps and incorporates the cream where I do get some foam. Delicious coffee now!!! Why didn’t I try this sooner?? ... show more

I use this product almost everyday to froth my creamer for my coffee. It takes about 60 seconds to froth and works great. It’s small size makes it convenient to put in the corner of the counter when not in use. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed! I've used this frother almost daily for 3.5 years, before it finally quit working. Not bad for the price paid! The power button on top became more and more difficult to activate, which is my only complaint. It made a nice froth and was easy to clean. The stand is a nice bonus.
