It was a very windy day on the beach when I tried this tent out. Unzipping the bag, I tossed the tent onto the sand and it instantly popped up into shape. The tent comes with 4 sand bags and I had filled them with sand. I found that placing the sandbags along one edge of the floor of the tent kept it steady enough in the wind for me to be able to fill the 4 outer pockets around the base of the tent with sand. The tent comes with tent pegs and tie-downs too but on the sand, I found the sand bags worked perfectly as you can see in my photos. The tent seems well made with all the stitching looking good and no weak looking seams. There are two pockets inside the tent to stash things and also a hook in the top of the roof that would support a very lightweight light source. The shade provided is really good. The weather today is 89ºF and the sand was hot under foot. But inside the tent and in it’s shadow it was noticeably cooler. In fact it was so pleasant inside the tent our dogs wanted to take over and make it their space! There is a permanently open mesh panel on each of the tent sides which allow nice ventilation inside the tent and there is also a mesh window on the back which can be open or closed off as you wish. We found in the very windy conditions that it helped to stop the wind being blown too much by leaving it open so that there was a welcome stream of air passing through the tent. My wife is 5 feet 7 inches tall and was able to stretch out fully inside on the floor of the tent. There was still room for me to stretch out comfortably beside her too. If you just need shade you could easily fit 3 people inside if they are seated facing the tent opening, or lying down if you don’t mind your legs sticking out. For small children this would provide a great, comfortable, shaded area for 3 of 4 kids. The whole thing folds up easily into a handy carry bag. It took me about a minute or so to fold it. There are instructions on the inside of the carry bag if you need them. We are looking forward to trying it out as a lunch break station on the high ground on one of our forest hikes. It’s a great piece of kit, quick and easy to set up, Sturdy, and good value in my opinion.

This pop-up sun tent was bigger than I expected. It is described as being for four people and that is accurate. You can actually get four adults out of the sun as long as they sit somewhat close together. Set-up it trivial. Just take it out of the carrying case and it opens itself up. Spread the four corners a bit and you are good to go. Takedown is pretty easy also when you follow the instructions and there is an instruction sheet silkscreened on a fabric panel that is sewn into the case so you won't loose the directions. The rear window has a shade that can easily be put up. The floor is a similar material to a lightweight plastic tarp that should help keep sand out of your belongings. I'd recommend spreading a towel inside to sit on for comfort. There are four small fabric bags sewn into the corners you can fill with sand, and four additional fabric bags with paracord lines included to use to help support the tent in the wind. There are also four lightweight tent stakes (see pictures) - these work great in a lawn but would be useless on a beach. The quality of materials looks fine for the intended purpose and the quality of construction looks quite good.. We have previously used a beach umbrella. This tent will be much better. It is easier to store and carry, easier to set up and provides more shade. It should do well in lighter winds. I don't know if the size of the sand bags will be large enough to keep the tent secure in heavier winds but our umbrella doesn't work in heavier winds either. We haven't been able to get it to the beach yet but I suspect that after a few outings we will be keeping this and getting rid of our beach umbrella.

ITS kightweight and easy to setup. Great indoors and outside. We have a beach trip planned and this will come in handy. It is difficult to put back down but with some practice we got the hang Of it.

The tent unfolded easily; just like what was shown. HOWEVER, taking it down and trying to fold it...not even close! I just received it today and wanted to make sure it worked as pictured and I was able to fit my full-size folding chair in there; it could possibly seat two. Those are the good parts. But I've been fooling around with it off and on all afternoon trying to fold it down. There are no videos for this tent to show that and even similar videos just didn't help. The instrux on the inside of the bag were not that helpful either. AND on top of that, the customer service number they provided IS NOT a legitimate phone number 🙄. I finally got frustrated, twisted it up SOMEHOW and threw what would fit of it, back in the case. I'm keeping it because I do think it'll do the job and maybe SOMEBODY can show me how to properly fold it at the beach.

I needed a shaded place for my infant to play while my other kids ran wild outside during the summer. After doing some research I decided the typical baby play pens were too cumbersome and/or expensive. The play pens also rarely included a sun shade. However, this tent is perfect! It is lightweight, which is important while carrying an infant and every other toy we own outside. It is easy to setup (also important when you only have one hand to use while holding a baby) and large enough that my infant does not crawl his way out as soon as I place him in the tent. An added bonus - the other kids love using the tent as a fort. We throw a sheet on top of the opening and they play for hours inside. Although, none of these are the intended purpose of the product - it has satisfied the needs that we purchased the product for. My only difficulty so far is folding the tent back up. But my husband was able to figure it out quickly. So maybe that was my own user error? Overall, I would highly recommend!
