Quality machining. Clear directions. The worst part is getting the OLD anode out of the water heater. You might need an impact wrench to knock it loose. Once you're past that, you're golden. Installed easily. Teflon tape seems to be watertight. There's an LED on the power supply, so plug it in somewhere that you may notice if it's not green. If it's not green, it's not working. Shouldn't be an issue, but better to know sooner than later.

Like this replacement for the original anode my concern is can't really tell if it's working. It has a power light but that only telling you power supply is working. Light stays on when you unplug from anode rod.

Impossible to say this soon but it seems to work. Even though it should not really have anything to do with this, my hot water heater is no longer making the clunking sounds from lime deposits since I installed this device.
