  • Fogatti products are high quality, well made and efficient
Color: Black Style: 15" x 15" Door Size
I bought the Fogatti On-Demand water heater for my 2020 Ford Transit 250 Van conversion. It was easy to install and worked flawless well for the first year and a half until I neglected to winterize properly. My inefficiency in winterizing allowed one of the small copper water pipes to freeze and have a small blowout which I will have to repair. I called Fogatti customer support and they were extremely understanding and helpful. I will be receiving the parts I need soon and be able to get my van back on the road with plenty of hot water. Thank you Fogatti for making great products and having excellent customer support. ... show more

  • Edited Review - Do not buy this.
Color: Black Style: 15" x 15" Door Size
Straightforward and easy to install. It took me about 2.5 hours to remove the old one and install this one. Most of the time was spent removing the old one and modifying the opening. This is 1/2 inch bigger both sides than the opening in a Shadow Cruiser with a Suburban 6 gallon. To get the Suburban out, I had to remove the circuit board sticky taped to the top of it and pulling it out of the opening busted off half of the styrofoam insulation. Plus, the Suburban has wires running everywhere, I had to find the straight 12V pos and neutral (red and green, I just abandoned the blue wire.) I turned the 110V circuit into a wall outlet. The Fogatti is laid out perfect, the connections are easy to make. Unfortunately, I had to remove the screws holding the back panel (2 sides) just to get it through the opening, even after grinding off excess fiberglass and aluminum framing to make the opening bigger. I metal taped the sides of the back panel where the screws are removed, it is just as solid as having the screws in. Plenty of wire is included with the remote, unless you are mounting it in the bathroom, which I do not understand. I put mine by the power center and set it at 123 degrees and will probably never mess with again. A slight issue that I was already aware of; the heater takes a couple of seconds to turn cold water into hot water. When you close the kitchen faucet and then open it again, you have to wait to get hot water, maybe 7-10 seconds. I have to admit, it was nice with the tank heater having hot water uninterrupted within seconds. But, believe me, I can deal with it. First time I ran a hot shower without cutting off the water to soap up. No more Navy submarine BS. Luxuriated in that wonderful endless stream of water. Be sure to get a thermostatic mixing valve, I'm not sure what happens when this is starved of cold water (kitchen faucet opened while you are in the shower.) I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QPCMN7P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 and it has been great (looks good too.) Plus, no more gas being used to keep water warm in the tank. And the outside cover of it looks a lot better, more subtle and stronger looking. And, a $120 discount from when I was pricing these during RV season. I'm a satisfied customer. Edit 12/17/23 - I got ten days of enjoyment from using this product. When I say enjoyment, unrestricted, full flowing hot water under all conditions. On the eleventh day, it started flaming out, right in the middle of a shower. Since then it has gone to 1) severely restricting the flow of water, 2) flaming out almost immediately, under any and all conditions. There is some stupid code built into the circuit board that will not let it simply heat the water. It is chasing ghosts. Going down the rabbit holes. During the ten days it worked perfectly, none of the ambient conditions have changed since then 1) propane pressure is the same or stronger (replaced with full tank, tried a heating blanket for the tank -failed.) 2) the water pressure hasn't changed (my faucets will rip out cold water.) 3) temperature of the incoming water (today it actually got warm outside, it was still the worst shower I ever had in my life.) I've tried every temperature set point, I've tried every faucet setting, I have a shower protocol now; turn it on full hot water set at 103 degrees, wait for it to flame out, usually 30 seconds. Stop the flow, restart the flow, wait for the next flame out. Usually 2 minutes. Stop the flow, restart the flow, enter shower, before it was giving me uninterrupted flow but not today. It kept flaming out. I contacted the seller of the item, they blew me off (contact Amazon with warranty issues, check the wires on the gas valve.) Hey, that's great, thanks for your concerns, it's not a big deal not being able to take a lukewarm shower. Thanks for all your help. But, check it out, this thing is coming back to you, and I don't want another one. You don't care and neither do I. ... show more

  • Endless hot water.
Color: White Style: 15" x 15" Door Size
I purchased the tankless water heater for my 32ft travel trailer. I like to set the temp at 104*F and just turn on the hot water in the shower with the Oxygenics shower head and it feels great, even better than the showers in my house. I have been using it frequently for the past 3 years and I can say it is flawless. I run off grid often and I can get almost 120 showers on a standard 20lb bottle . And I use a solar panel system to charge and monitor my 12v power. With the water heater on standby it uses just under 0.200 watts and during a hot shower it uses 340.0 watts of power. So far it's been the best upgrade to my KC Sportsman . I love it. ... show more

  • RV Tankless hot water conversion.
Color: White Style: 15" x 15" Door Size
Short Story-It works as advertised. Long Story-If you have tools and skills in demolition/remediation, cabinet making, sheet metal, plumbing, low voltage electrical, confined workspace, with 40 man/hours of labor then this is an easy project. Since my local codes did not require a PRV for this type of heater, I did not install one. Concurrent with this install I replaced and updated 50% of the RV's plumbing, install a new 40psi water pressure limiter for the Municipal side inlet, 12vdc water pump, isolation valve to separate operation on 12vdc Coach water or Municipal water. Downstream of the isolation valve I added an accumulator with a pre-charge of 15psi on the air chamber. I live at 5500' elevation and the Tankless Water Heater worked just fine despite what the manual has printed. I performed the standard soap bubble check of the LP line for leaks. Afterwards I purged all the air from the water lines and started the unit for 5 minutes and shutdown, checking it for problems. Last I conducted a 60 minute pressure test of the Municipal water system to insure the heater had no leaks. The heater has a 1 year warranty, we'll see if it can meet or surpass the 10 years of service of my old 12 gallon tank unit. It did work the first time without any special effort beyond the initial install. I purchased from Amazon through Rec Pro and the unit I received was a Fogatti in a Fogatti box, a non-issue for me. Sadly I called the Rec Pro customer service line with a concern, was told to send an email with photo which I did promptly, and never received a follow up either by phone or email as of this writing. I give them one star for answering the phone. May 2021 update. Got to go on a road trip and field test the unit with my wife and myself. It worked great with unlimited hot water for each of us taking back to back showers. At 6500 feet elevation with 41*F water inlet temperature it only took 15 to 20 seconds to bring the water at the shower head to 111*F. Because you have unlimited hot water the grey tank can fill faster than when one shuts down and lathers up. The minor down side of shutting down and lathering up is when the water is turned back on the water heater has to re-heat the water from ambient inlet temperature and bring it back to the selected temperature, 15 to 20 seconds again but since I knew this was going to happen I just pointed the nozzle of the shower away from me until the water was hot again. A very good upgrade to the RV, my wife is happy and I'm happy. After several days of playing with adjustments we both agreed on 109*F was good for both of us. ... show more
