Description

This 10 in. 2,200 watt Gothic Series 2Ω Dual Voice-Coil Subwoofer from Power Acoustik use torsion-twisted flax fibers that are woven together for ultimate strength and less elasticity. A heavy soaking in epoxy combined with the sonic qualities of pulp paper, flax proves itself worthy of any system. A strong and flexible heat-resistant compound, nitrile butadiene rubber is used widely in automotive applications. Gothic woofers also utilize an extended excursion NBR surround for its strength and flexible properties during extreme movement.

  • The best Clarity, Separation, Power, and Build quality I have gotten on a budget!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
These shake my 20 x 38' kitchen living room combo. I have a deep 32hz tuned maze slot port 1" mdf box that I drilled two 1/4" holes below each speaker to run the 8GA directly to the terminals. I am running two in parellel, resulting in 0.48 Ohms. Running on a Hifonics 2,016W with a deep cycle 850CCA Battery with charging/supplemental power by a linear 35A power supply at 13.1Vdc (this is on the lower side of float voltage per the data sheet, not to "puff" or kill my battery any time soon). The box is side loaded in the room (placed it in the corner) to give the best resonance of frequencies. These are NOT for mid bass at all, strictly 60 hz and under they sound and feel clear, powerful, amazing separation of multiple frequencies (two rockets with 4 engines, you can tell there are many different tones, and great depth). When i turn the high pass up to 80hz i feel the speakers lose their clarity, that i enjoy so much. The subsonics would be better with the 12-15" version, however i can hear/feel it down to about 19hz it moves fine at 13hz all while keeping what seems to be 3.5" of excursion, but is totaly inaudible at 15hz... maybe the 15" would hear 15hz... maybe.... Bieber's "sorry" has a 20hz bass track that makes these things go BONKERS! LOL!!! true, but punk rock, and reggae is what i mainly like. I run these often and only made them start to smell one time at 120hz high pass at full volume after 1.2 hours of pure enjoyment! I now keep the high pass at 60hz and they never get warm, AMAZING subs! solid 37hz at full volume i get 167.2A from the battery * 12.996 minV = 2173 to the amp, so maybe 1900W actually goes between the two.... 950Wrms per sub for me! (just measured it after 1 year of ownership) ... show more

  • The best subs I have ever had... Woefully Gothic.
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
The media could not be loaded. I have these powered by a Kenwood KAC-511 which currently as it is in the video is 500 Rms at 2 Ohms between these two subs which sounds very good. I used these to replace my Kicker Comp R 10 DVC and I have no regrets. As the system sits these subs are majorly underpowered at 500 Rms, which I hope to change soon, but regardless, it sounds so good, the videos do not do it justice. For the price it is absolutely worth it, you can't go wrong, plus the aesthetic of the subs are just perfectly woeful. Definitely get them if your wanting subs, you won't regret it. ... show more

  • Great sound for the value
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Reviews on YT and here say watch what you feed this beast... I feed mine with a Rockford 601s that has been bench tested at 748x1, 4 ohm. This puppy handles it and sounds amazing. I’m using a vent port box, only 1 10”, as I own a Kia Soul so space is an issue, and the sub is about 4’ from my head. I’ve always used Rockford or alpine subs, but paid a lot more. Now I’m using these ... show more

  • Purchased used in like new condition
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Purchased used in like new condition. Arrived with a bend in the frame causing the voice coil to rub. Not impressed by the build quality of the metal frame. If it didn't have the voice coil rub problem it would have really kicked out some nice, loud full bass. Too bad. I wanted to love it.

  • great sub for the price hits very well
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
OK this sub is at 1000 watts RMS at 1ohm not 2ohm . Or it could be 670 watts RMS at 4 ohms but not 2 ohm . This is a great sub for the price that it is . And people please. Learn what ohms are and what your sub and amp can handle .

  • Nicely built.
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I like the sub for its price and power handling. The only thing I don't like is the sub bottoms out easily around the max RMS wattage. I run the sub at 4ohms on an XTR2500.1Dz which gives me 1000W RMS output. If you turn the gain down you can get away with not bottoming out. I built a 1.5 ft3 ported box with a 3" dia x 11" long precision port and get about 110db in my ram 1500 single cab. Over all, I think the sub is worth the money and would buy it again. ... show more

  • These speakers are fine for the average listener
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
These speakers are fine for the average listener. They give me no problems and I run them hard all day. They do not play the low tones as hard as I like but what can you expect from 10" subs for this price ? I've been through a lot of subs and these are honestly average. Don't be fooled by the amount of watts the speaker claims to handle. They can handle the power but doesn't mean they will sound like high end competition subs. This is not a competition sub so if your looking for low tones, spend more money on something else. Still pretty good subs anyway ... show more
