I’ve read people having issues with Apple carplay not working. I thought the same after installing. Quickly found out it’s all able the charging cable that you are using. Out of 8 different cables that I own only two of work flawlessly with the phone to stereo. I believe the cables you guys are using is the issue.     • Be prepared for it to not come on sometimes
Really not a bad stereo. 2 things I have a gripe with. One isn't terrible for now but sure it will get worse over time. The screen slips down by a notch or 2 fairly often. Biggest gripe though, and this is the biggest reason for such a low rating. The thing keeps resetting itself. I get in the vehicle, start it. The radio comes on. Everything works like it's supposed to. Periodically, it comes up with a black screen as I the screen doesn't come on. The buttons light up. Screen don't. When this happens, I can usually just turn the vehicle off. Wait till the radio turns itself off. When this happens, you hear the speakers pop like when you hear a system with improperly installed amps hooked up are shutting off. When turning back on. Everything comes on and works like it should again. Except, I have to reset everything. Like the clock. Sound settings. All of that. Update. The head unit has now become almost useless after just a week or two of use. Every single time I turn it on or start the vehicle, it resets to the very beginning where I have to choose language and location, as well as reset the time and date. Even worse now is I cannot adjust the radio from one station to another, as well as I have absolutely zero volume. I can't even adjust the volume up or down, nor can I set the default volume to anything other than zero. Literally, the only thing I can use this for now is my Android auto and even then, I can only use the map. ... show more

    • An inexpensive upgrade
This was easy to install and it’s very easy to use. However, in the two months that I have had this installed the screen has frozen on me twice. One of those times needed a hard reset the other time it started working again after my truck had been turned off for about 30 minutes. It looks very nice in my truck and was a very affordable upgrade, plus it has Apple car play which makes it much easier to use my phone for gps and music while I am driving. ... show more

    • If you dont plan to use the dvd player that much buy this radio!
I hate that i cant give this radio a higher rating. I honestly really like this radio. The screen is really clear and apple play works great. I love how big the monitor is. Its like watching a tv. Now i like to use the dvd player. I dont have the phone mirroring capabilities with the apple car play i chose. But since day one the dvd player has been a problem. And its gotten worse. You have to insert/eject a dvd a dozen times, restart the car or turn off the radio, or change functions a dozen times before you get the dvd player to work correctly. Sometimes it works rite sometime it takes 30mins to get going. Drives me crazy. And its the only problem this radio has ... show more

Radio works well, had it professionally installed and upgraded car speakers. The radio doesn't have enough power to push my upgraded speakers to the maximum. Sound is good all the way to the highest level. No issues to report been using it 8 months now.
