This was a little tricky for elderly seniors to put together because our wrists don't bend as well as they once did, but we got it together without too much trouble. Very nice heavy duty stool with a nice big seat. The only thing that would make it better was if they was an extended foot rest for your feet. Love these counter stools!! The quality is superb, the price is fabulous, and they look like a much more expensive product. Easy to care for. The oversized seating area is very comfortable. The swivel is a little tight right now, but definitely not a problem at all. The paperwork states that they are sturdy and tested to a 400 lb. weight limit, and they do appear to be very sturdy, and made for small and average to "big and tall." I am a 77 year-old thin female and found the only challenging assembly process I encountered was attaching the seat back, but my husband and I worked together and we did it!!! Purchased three and would definitely recommend them. Bought these to replace more expensive stools I bought less than a year ago. Those were wood and leather and I had to tighten the screws every two weeks. Sooo glad I made the change. The industrial strength steel tube frame of these new stools looks like they will last many, many years. ... show more

    • Sturdy, well built. Cushion is a weak spot, difficult to assemble. Pricier than the taller ones?

So the first thing is that the shorter ones - counter height are almost twice the price of the taller ones with more materials. I find that odd - or maybe it's one of those "you can't get it elsewhere so we price gouge" kind of things. Overall it's a nice piece, although the cushions are really lacking. The swivel is good, it holds big guys, as my friends were over and had no issues. Putting the thing together takes a bit of patience, and really small fingers would help. It's hard holding heavy metal objects and then trying to align all the different screws, washers and fittings correctly. They could improve the placement so you don't have to contort to assemble. Make sure not to lose anything - there's no spares. Once assembled, they do look nice, very sturdy for big guys and the measurements are correct. The cushion is the only weak spot. ... show more
