I swear by MAC liners and use them almost exclusively. As an older woman, I hate the feathered look from some lipsticks and instead choose to use a liner (MAC) and fill in my lips, then top with a colored balm or gloss. No feathering. I like that the pencil is soft. Soar is a great pink color.

I got this specifically for my Wednesday cosplay since this is what the MUA used on Jenna Ortega. You draw a few lines on the back of your hand and then mix a little bit of lip balm into it. Then dab that with your finger onto your lips. The color lasted pretty well (even mixed into a balm).

This lip liner is easy to use and lasts a long time. It is a staple in my makeup collection. It is a little expensive for a lip liner, but I don't use it everyday and probably lasts me a year, so it is worth it to me.
