I looked at several of these and found out why some were less expensive than others: The cheaper ones come without an adapter and make you either come up with your own adapter, or plug it into a computer or another USB hub. I wanted a Desk Lamp That You Plug Into A Wall Outlet, which is what this is. I also wanted to be able to plug up anything (iPad, iPhone, Kindle, etc.) to the USB port on the back of it to charge, without burning a USB port on my computer or USB hub, or loading it down with the drain from an LED light. The clock is a bonus and the digital thermometer is another, plus it runs off a lithium coin battery so I don't worry about power outages resetting the clock. The wireless charging worked for charging my friend's iPhone 12, a third bonus. Overall, I like it. ... show more

I just received my lamp today so I cannot review its long-term use. Out of the box, it is very impressive. The detail makes it look expensive and it will add some class to your space. I love the illuminated time, date and temperature. They even went a step further and included the day of the week. After 2020, I'm sure we all know how much more significant that is. :) The detailing makes it look like leather. The touch controls are very responsive and conveniently located. There are SO many lighting options that it gets 3 thumbs up for that feature. You have 3 light settings as far as the temperature: soft (yellowish), white, and blueish white. But within each temperature, you can make it brighter or dimmer. That is not a setting that you find in most lamps. The phone charging pad is super convenient and it works. I like the green indicator light that lets you know the phone is charging. The downside: I am not a fan of the chime sound (I guess it's the alarm). It makes it sound like a cheap device. Additionally, the reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is because of the height limitation. The lamp isn't even as tall as my computer and the height is not adjustable. But another plus is that you can adjust the angle of the light both up and down and side to side. Overall, on my first day, I am impressed. I may update this post after I have used it for some time and become familiar with all of the features. Husband would give it three stars, he doesn't like the look or think it's very bright. I'm the one who likes very bright lights and I think it's pretty bright where it throws light. I like that it's not glaring in my face like other desks lamps and it swings up and down. (one way, not side to side), and that it's low profile with no big lamp shade (big plus for me) DATE- I think people are confusing the date/year with a 2nd military time. I know I did for a solid day and got frustrated the day of week wouldn't change. That was on me. One you set the correct year, the day of the week will set correctly. To do so- there are 4 tiny buttons on the back. A set, a mode, an up arrow, and a down arrow. Works like any other device. Hit set once, click mode to choice what you're trying to change (it'll blink) use the up/down arrow to adjust the time, etc. hit set again. Overall I like this for the office desk, it's so low profile I would actually buy a 2nd one for the other side of the desk. If it lasts, it's worth the $35. ... show more

Likes. Looks good. Compact design. 5 x 7 inch footprint. Just over 13 inches tall. Light 11 inches long It took a bit to figure out the phone charger. If you set down on base it may start the light changing intensity or flickering and the phone will not be charging. I found the phone needed to be pushed back to the upright and shifted slightly off center, long side across the short width of base. When it was in position light ok and watching the green indicator light at front of base for a steady light showed it was charging. Blocking light and it was not charging. Dislike Setting buttons on back of upright. Out of sight. But that makes it an annoyance to set things, as you can’t see the data panel and setting buttons to push so it is a bit of fumbling to get time and date set and temperature scale. But only an annoyance for initial setup or the occasional sleep set up. I wouldn’t use this for an alarm but it does have that function Light modes all work though I am not sure what I would use for. 3 intensity changes/adjustments work I imagine light changes would be difficult, at best, but something for the future, when I have an idea of the life of LEDs ... show more

I had one like it but it didn't have the clock on it. Don't really use the alarm as it's somewhat hard to get to but the temp read out is nice to know what the temp in the bedroom is. For it's price it looks to be well made and everything works well on it. The back light for the clock is bright though and you can only have it on or off. No dim. And to turn it off you hold the power button for about three seconds and it turns the back light for the clock on or off. All in all a good purchase. Cheers. ... show more

Just got the lamp today, and so far I'm pretty impressed. The Qi charger works fine for my phone, and it's a Galaxy Note 8 with an Otter cover. The brightness levels are good, and I like the blue illumination for the clock. If the clock illumination is too bright for you, just hold the power button for a few seconds on the base of the lamp and it will turn off. I see a few reviews stating that you can't change the date or time, which is INACCURATE from my experience. The back arm of the LED lamp near the base has another set of 4 (although smaller) buttons at the bottom that allow for you to change the time and date. Just press the "S" button to switch between changing the hours, minutes, date, etc. using the up and down arrows. Otherwise, setting up the time and date took only 3 to 4 minutes. I do wish the base allowed for the lamp arm to swivel left or right, but the product description never indicated that it did that anyways (just would be a nice feature to add in the future).
