I’ve used this spreader three times so far, and it does exactly what it promises. It’s fairly easy to use, and I really like the ability to adjust both the speed and the spread pattern depending on what I’m putting down. The edge guard feature is also a nice touch—it helps keep material off sidewalks and driveways. I’ve used it for fertilizer, seed, and a fertilizer/seed mix without any issues. One of the main reasons I bought it was because it runs on DeWalt batteries, which I already own, and it works flawlessly with them. Overall, a reliable and convenient tool that makes spreading much easier. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a battery-powered spreader.

At 68 yrs old, having many health issues, can no longer walk my property with standard feeders. Legs in bad shape for the push unit & arthritis in hands cramp while using hand crank unit. Was recently telling friend that I wished they came out with an automatic seed shooter for grass seed & granule weed & feed. Low and behold, while searching for attachment for riding John Deere mower this unit came up. Made this a total game changer. Am able to ride mower while pulling trigger of spreader which works beautifully. Unit very reasonable in price & uses batteries which most homes already have for their other yard tools. Just make sure to order correct color of unit to match the different manufactures equipment you have on hand so that batteries fit correctly. You can go into seller's store to find exactly the color you're looking for. With the 2 dials (1 for opening to release seeds & 1 for distance), makes this a perfect addition to your homes exterior yard equipment.

Purchased to apply grass seed, works well and does a much better job of reseeding by hand. Selling feature was that it used existing DeWalt 20V batteries. Other offerings were either hand crank or required 4 AA batteries, priced about the same. Comes with a instruction manual, much appreciated. Never heard of the brand name, suspect customer service maybe difficult. So far so good..

I bought this spreader for my husband and he used it in the winter to spread salt on the driveway, then in the spring to spread grass seed and fertilizer. He loves it. It is easy to use and there was no assembly required. He thanks me every time he uses it.

Don’t waste your money. This is a great idea, but lacks proper design. It worked great when we used it last season, but this season it never worked at all. It’s been way too long to ask for a refund, so I decided to have a look inside. What I found was a lot of fertilizer inside the electronics and motor area. All metal surfaces were corroded and frozen shut. There was nothing to prevent the fertilizer from getting into areas where it shouldn’t be. You may think that I should have cleaned it after use, but this corrosion is not in a user serviceable area. Sorry, but this is not a good product. Great idea but Poor design.

I've got some seniors that live on my street, and folks that walk to transit to get to work. So, I do my best to pretreat the sidewalk for everyone to get on their way without taking a tumble. I got sick of those glorified parmesan shakers for spreading ice melt, and got this. This product arrived broken- the flimsy plastic tab to adjust the spread had broken off in shipment. Not a huge deal- the partition is still there, just the protruding tab came off. My biggest issue with the unit is that is poorly feeds the ice melt... I still have to shake this thing, when shaking a container was what the purchase was meant to avoid. The feed system could be improved- it definitely is not some impeller capable of breaking up chunks, and doesn't even feed well granulated ice melt all that well. Maybe a reverse or pulsed clean-out mode would help. It really excels in efficient battery use though. My non-OE (DeWalt style) battery was hardly drained after treating a double-wide driveway and two lot's worth of sidewalk. If the price doesn't represent a large expenditure for you, and you're gripe with the parmesan-shakers is that the handle feels like it will twist apart from the shaking, it's an improvement. If you are expecting this to massively reduce how long it takes you to apply salt, or to somehow yield better results, or you have a kid/teen to send out and shake the shaker.... Meh... YMMV.
