  • It all works plenty powerful
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
I used on extremely rocky ground. Used to be a river bed here. Had to stop to remove large rocks from hole but the auger didn’t get any damage despite how rocky. In areas where there happened to be less rocks it was great. It did fall over once and the trigger handle steel bent toward the frame and the plastic handle cracked. To keep it light the steel is thin and the plastic cheap for cost. I did repair by removing plastic housing, bending the steel back and then super gluing the five inch crack and then electrical tape over the entire length of crack. I think it’ll work like new again. ... show more

  • Awesome but dangerous
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
This has a very HARD kick when it hits a rock. I could not do it. It felt like it twisted and broke my arm. Hurt for a week. My husband uses it fine but has yelped a few times when it yanked hard. The item works perfectly. We love it. It is just the nature of the beast. Be CAREFUL AND READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND EXPECT IT IS NOT GOING TO BE FUN IF YOU HIT A ROCK OR BRANCH. ... show more

  • Arrives in 2 separate shipments - boxes beat up badly
Style: Digger & 6"10"12"Bits & Rod Kit
I received the first piece (motor) about two weeks before the augers and extensions arrived. I had already contacted the seller, as the box the motor came in had one side nearly torn off and I thought items were missing due to not being contained. Also, there were no augers. The seller was very responsive, and assured me that the augers would arrive through separate shipment. They did, so that worked out, but know that shipping times may delay your project if you are trying to find an option you can start quickly. The first box was supposed to contain a tool bag with lock pin for the auger bits, a fuel can, and I think a tool bag. Those did not arrive. The seller offered to either provide a partial refund or to ship the missing pieces. I opted to receive the missing pieces, as I was not 100% sure if they would be unique to the machine. After a couple weeks, I contacted the seller again to just get the partial refund as the missing items had yet to arrive. All that said.........I used the machine this weekend for the first time, and it worked great. Only dug three holes for 4x4 posts to build a short privacy fence to hide my trash cans behind. Worked great, started up fine, no issues. I actually bought this as I plan to extend my back deck later in the year, and as long as it works like it did this short time around.......will likely be a good buy. Both shipments (boxes) looked like they had fallen out of the back of a truck...multiple times. Not sure how they could literally be so destroyed from shipping to the point of missing parts/items, as well as my initial concerns that it may not start. Painted items in auger box (extensions and augers) are all scratched up and paint chipped from bouncing around in shipment. ... show more

  • Work horse, time saver
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
This auger saved me a lot of effort. Works well in clay, loam, sand. I built 3700 feet of fence I drilled over 100 holes with this auger and had very little issue with it. This thing is very powerful, one strong man can run it by himself but for most men it would take two.

  • Works great
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
Starts right up every time and is pretty powerful. The attachments are great and overall the product seems to be of good quality. My only complaint is that when operating, the exhaust seems to blow straight up into my face. It’s enough to where I have to pretty much hold my breath when digging and take a break to breathe if I have a deeper hole. Not sure if this is a problem with this particular item or if all are this way, but it’s bad enough that I haven’t spent very long using it at any given time. It does get the job done though if you can manage to not breathe the exhaust. ... show more

  • Workhorse
Style: Digger & 6" 10" Bits & Rod Kit
Used this bad boy to dig 44 holes to build a 340 foot wood stick built fence. Super deal since it comes with both bits and the extension which is essential to most post holes to meet ordinance depths. Big warning though, watch yourself while digging, this thing has a lot more power than you realize and when you hit a rock it will jerk really hard if you're throttle is too high. Nearly dislocated my shoulder a couple times. It does not have reverse so do not get greedy while digging and clear the bit often. If you go too deep you will bury the bit and need to dig it out. Very strong auger for the cost, well worth the money. ... show more
