  • Nice Product
Some reviewers mention lack of assembly parts. When I received mine the parts were at the very bottom of the box under the packing, easy to miss. The handle was not bent to match the attachment points so was difficult to start the bolts but pulled up OK. The compressor works as it should. It pumps up quickly to 150 psi and shuts off automatically. When I released some of the pressure it restarted on auto at =/~ 120 psi and cycled back up to 150 psi. I used it to air up some tires and switched the control to off with the pressure at 150 psi. I checked the unit this morning after a cold night and it is holding at 140 psi with the compressor control in the off position which suggests that the system is tight. The unit fits well in the space I have in my garage and can be moved easily on level concrete. I am happy with my purchase. Will edit this review if the unit proves unreliable. ... show more

  • Nice unit.
This is a nice unit. I've had a Craftsman 15 gallon horizontal air compressor for over 20 years, but it finally gave up on me. This vertical compressor does the job, is fast on recovery and fits my needs. It is easily moved to other parts of my work area and takes up little space. I like it.

  • Pretty easy to set up.
Works good. I only run a few impact wrenches or die grinders at a time, but this unit keeps right up. Compressor is loud, but really, not as bad as I thought it would be. More the fault of the shipper than the seller, mine arrived in an torn up box and the top plastic cover is busted. It works great and I'm not all that concerned about the plastic. ... show more

  • Severely loud. Operates at 97 decibels. Do not buy.
I am a woodturner operating out of my 3-car garage. I am hearing disabled. I bought the air compressor because it fit in my garage shop. I installed it and turned it on. The noise was ear-shattering. I pulled the plug and came in and went to the N.I.O.S.H. (National Institutes Of Safety and Health) and downloaded their sound testing app for iPhone 11. I turned on the compressor and the unit tested at 97 Decibels. N.I.O.S.H says, "At 100 dB(A) "Regular and prolonged unprotected exposure of more than 15 minutes per day risks permanent hearing loss." Air compressors can be made to run quiet and not damage your hearing. Save your hearing. Don't buy this. I'm sending it back. ... show more

  • fairly quiet
this is the first air compressor i have had. it is working good so far. I have used it to work on my car twice now. I still have to use other methods to loosen some bolts/nuts (like prybars/impact drivers/cheater bars) because the power from the compressor/impact wrench combination isn't near adequate to loosen. ... show more

5 stars for the product 2 for shipping. It was all banged up and the filter is bent as well as the plastic top is crushed. I know this isnt the manufacturer fault and so far I have put up over 1,000 feet of fence and have changed many tires.

  • Some leaks on arrival, but I still like the machine.
Compressor arrived with 4 leaks. A fizzer leak at the threads of the exhaust elbow, a fizzer leak at one end of the threads on switch assembly nipple and an audible leak at other end of the same nipple. Also, there was a kink on 1/4" copper relief tube that started as a fizzer leak but quickly turned into a blower when I tightened the nut. The exhaust leak I just tightened the nut. The leaks at the nipple going from the tank to the switch assembly I had to remove the switch assembly (along with wiring) and the nipple. I applied thread sealer to the nipple threads at both ends and tightened it all back together, properly. I replaced the 1/4" copper relief tube. At first I was really aggravated to have to do all this, but Amazon was pretty helpful with compensation and, even considering these poor quality control issues, I really like this compressor.. so far. Price ain't bad, either. All the welds look good on my unit. Too soon to tell the quality of the motor. I went back and forth on what I would score this review. I like this machine, but I, fortunately, have the time to spend working on it to correct the issues. Others may not. Ultimately, I decided 3 stars was most fair. A word of warning for those who are going to attempt repairs with zero experience working on compressors (like me): make sure absolutely all if the air pressure is removed from the machine before working on it, or be prepared to buy new underwear. ... show more

  • Was Pleasantly Surprised
Considering the price and the size..It is a great compressor. Not as loud as my previous 3 gallon pancake compressor. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for an upgrade from a 1 to 3 gallon compressor. It runs my pneumatic tools without any issues. And has a very small footprint, doesn't take up much more space than my older compressor. I've only had it for a month, but I can't imagine being without it now. ... show more
