This heater provides great heat output, is easy to operate, and is reasonably quiet. It has four fan settings on the right hand dial (High heat, Low heat, No heat i.e. fan only, and Off). The left dial is the thermostat. You can set the thermostat to maximum and then turn the heater on and off when you wish, or set it to the temperature that is comfortable for you and leave the heater on. The thermostat is not annotated in degrees; you would have to try different settings until you find the temperature that is comfortable for you. I would like to have given this heater 5 stars, but have to reduce it to 4 stars for the slippery carrying handle described below: PROS: o Two heat settings – 1500 watts and 750 watts o Heat comes on instantly – no waiting o Safety switch turns unit off if it is tipped over o Two prong plug, so it is not necessary to find a three-prong outlet (but of course perfectly OK to use a three-prong outlet.) o Full six foot long power cord CONS: o Whoever designed the carrying handle (located on the back at the top of heater) apparently never had to use it. It has a flat surface, is made of slick, shiny plastic, and tends to slip right out of your hand. You have to be extra careful, and use two hands when carrying this heater around. I seriously considered returning the unit for this reason. o The included user manual is fine, except for the “Notes” section on the top of page 7. I’m guessing this was translated to English from a foreign language. It is difficult to understand I don’t think it is needed. ... show more
