Works great! Safer than the others IMO

The Amazon Basics Portable Oil Radiator Heater is a fantastic little workhorse. It warms up my room evenly, runs silently, and feels very safe thanks to its built‑in tip‑over and overheat protection. The heat settings are simple to use, and the whole unit feels sturdy and reliable. For the price, it delivers excellent comfort and performance—highly recommended! ... show more

worked well for us and uses less power along with delivering more heat than smaller models.

We needed to heat a small bathroom. This large sized heater is overkill but it has a low power mode that worked perfectly. We originally bought a tiny 700w radiant heater and it could not begin to keep that bathroom comfortable. Having the large size is key in our opinion, even if you never plan to use the higher power modes. We now keep that bathroom nice and warm, using less power and that's a good thing for us. While it is oversized for the room visually, it is off white and blends in nicely. The controls are very simple and easy to use. there is no timer but we don't need that. It has good safety features for tilt and overheat that give us peace of mind. It is quiet, efficient and easy.. It does not get much better than that. ... show more

I bought this product because I didn’t want to turn on my central heat because I’m remains mostly in one room and I was trying to figure a way to save my on my bills. Well, did you know the space heater did the job, heating bill went down.I’m happy, so let’s talk about it. The quality is so perfect. The noise level is quiet. The heating level level is great. The airflow is good and the safety on it is excellent.. and let’s not forget the price five stars for the price I recommended to all you guys that like to keep warm and have a small area. This will do the job. ... show more

Seems to be good quality

Been using this a couple weeks now and I really like it. I wish there were sizes available, I remember years ago I had one that was twice as big, they just didn't seem to make them that big anymore. This has been working really well for warming up an entire average size bedroom. The heat that comes off it is really nice, doesn't feel as dry as a space heater that blows hot air. So far the quality is there. If anything changes I will update my review. I can safely say right now I'm very happy with it. ... show more

Works well and quiet

EDIT: I bought this heater on December 2, it got delivered pretty quickly and it is now January 13th. I noticed the room that it was in was getting a little chilly. I have it set on the lowest power setting and the temperature dial is about halfway I have not made any other adjustments since I plugged the heater in and set it up and got it where I wanted it to be. But it appears that the heater has failed and no longer works. I have tried all the other temperature settings and power levels to no avail, good thing I saved the packaging because I will be returning the heater and buying something different END OF EDIT………I don’t normally write reviews so early after getting a product but I just received this heater today and it seems to be very good for the price, I mean there are much better brands out there that are three times and four times the price and I do own some of those brands. But for a simple manual Oil radiator with no bells and whistles, this one works perfect. The thing I don’t like about the digital ones that I own that are more expensive, if the power goes out during a ice/snow storm, and I am not home. When the power comes back on, the digital ones do not restart automatically on their own , and that is a pain because I do use one of these heaters to keep my pipes from freezing in my basement. I have regular steam heat but the house is 120 years old and even with the regular steam heat. There is still some drafty and cold rooms that need a little bit of extra heat and these heaters work good. I live in the Northeast and we’ve already been below zero in the first week of December 2025. And this heater does an excellent job to keep my bedroom toasty warm on those cold, windy winter nights. I am a very light sleeper, so not having a fan in the heater like other heaters, makes it extra nice because it is a nice warm, radiant heat without the noise. It was easy to assemble with the provided. Wingnuts, did not need any extra tools. I don’t know if it has any safety features such as a tip over switch, or any of that as i did not experiment and try, but I only run it on the medium setting, never high because the wiring in my house is also on the older side and I don’t want to stress it by Adding unnecessarily high draw devices. On the second setting it draws around 700 W. On the first setting it draws about 550 W. The highest setting seems to draw about 1300 W but I don’t use it. ... show more
