It's got a nice sleek design to it very modern looking and it's big enough for even my largest pot. I've been wanting a single burner portable hot plate for a while and this one is perfect. You have a sensor touch screen that's easy to read and easy to adjust the settings on as well. And it's big enough that I can put even my largest pot on I call it my chili pot cuz I like to make chili and the fact that of course it's portable that I can take it wherever I want especially during chili cook-off time and that's now when I'm going to do so next time it comes around I am going to enter it now that I got a nice single oven top burner I guess is what it would call it. It does a great job distributing the heat evenly it has the safety auto shut off which is a great feature and it's super easy to wipe up and clean. It's 1800W so it's giving you regular stove top heating so it heats up pretty hot and it doesn't take too long for it to reach the desired temp what you're looking for either I thought it would take a while to reach the desired temperature but no it heats up pretty quick and it let you know when it does reach where you need it to reach whatever temperature you set it at so there's no guessing that it's at the desired temperature it takes all the guess work out of it. Super modern design easy to read screen sensor touch it's big enough for even one of your biggest pots well for me anyway and of course it's portable also great for just keeping something warm if you're having a party or anyone just keep something warm in your stove top is already full will you have this one to utilize as well so it's going to come in handy more than just during chilly Cook-Off season but I can't wait for that I really like this single stove top burner electric of course it distributes the heat evenly as I mentioned and you have the auto shut off safety and it's super easy to wipe down and clean when you're done using it. Definitely recommend it I like it I'll be using it a lot year-round I'm sure.

I love this cooktop. If you’re a gourmet chef, you might not love it. If you cook simply, like me, you just might. It heats up fast, and does a good job of cooking my food. Keep in mind, this isn’t an electric coil stove. It works by induction. There’s a magnetic field that transfers the heat to your pan. The cooktop only gets hot, when the heat from your pan makes it hot. It doesn’t produce heat on it’s own. Now, if you’re a gourmet chef, you’ll probably want more control over the heat than this will provide. This gives you less control over heat than electric stoves. There are 10 settings of increasing heat, shown in terms of wattage on the readout. The manual shows corresponding temperatures, but ignore that, because they’re highly inaccurate (which seems to be the case with most portable induction cooktops based of my research). At 1000w, my pan went over 550°F while I was cooking. I adjusted my cooking and keep it mostly between 340-660w using an infrared temperature gun to judge the temperature. All in all, I was able to cook my food, to my satisfaction. Highly recommend.

I bought this to use in my camper, but I am also enjoying using it at home. You do have to have a special type of pan to use with this, and the easiest way to test it is to check if it’s magnetic. If the skillet is magnetic, then you’ll be able to use it. I find that this heats up super fast, and I love that it allows me to control the exact temperature with ease. It seems to be a much more of an even heat on my pan than my typical electric stove eye. This does have a little bit of weight to it, which is a good thing. The unit itself does not slide around easily. The actual top of the unit, however, is very slick on the surface, so certain pans may be more prone to sliding, you’ll just want to watch for that. I think this is an excellent deal for this, because I have seen these two or three times the price, for essentially the same thing. I’m very pleased with this, and it’s going to be really great for this camping season for sure!

I have a friend who rented an Airbnb for a vacation where they had an induction stovetop and he switched to induction over from gas in his house! IMO, this is something that one really should try for themselves before switching. But for myself and my 2 sons, after checking this out, we're ready to take the plunge! The safety benefits are obvious. With a gas stove, it's very easy to burn oneself let alone start a fire from any number of very quick and simple accidents. That said, (knocking on wood) we have not has any such problem with our gas stove but the risk is always there. We were all very impressed how quickly the pans heated up and were also interested in the temperature regulating features offered in such an inexpensive unit. My only reservation is the small diameter of the induction area (10 inches) compared to the overall size of the unit, which suggests it would be larger. I've already ordered some more magnetic pots to use with it. We're converts! Our next stove will most likely be induction!
