  • Not OE but perfectly functional
Let's be clear, these are not OE Keihins. But, I installed them and the bike started and runs... a bit more tuning is needed, and maybe smaller jets as they're running pretty rich, but for the price I can't complain much. OE carbs are over $1k and these were less than 10% of that. My biggest complaint is there's no bracket for the idle speed adjustment, and the brackets for the throttle cables need a bit of tweaking to hold the bottom nut on each cable correctly. For the price, I can put in the work to fix those minor issues. Edit: I would recommend buying a couple jet kits with this; I'm not sure what jets are in it, but in the box there's a little bag that had a 120 and a 125 jet; I have no idea why someone would want to change just one, and I haven't pulled the bowls to see what's in it from the factory (yet). I'd still buy these carbs (and might buy a second pair for another bike), but understand that you might need to spend an extra $20 and some labor time to get it just right. While you're at it do yourself a favor and replace the Phillips (or JIS?) screws with socket cap screws - M4x14 on the bottom, M4x16 with a split ring lock washer on the top (if you're trying to stay with OE lengths). I think there's plenty of room for M4x16s on the bottom if you want them. You'll thank yourself if you have to take them apart in 8 years to clean them. ... show more

  • Great Carburetor for the price
I ordered this from Amazon. It arrived in 2 days. It bolted right up. Got it installed and it would not fill the float bowls. Had to take it back off and free up the float valves. Reinstalled it on the bike and the bike started right up and runs amazing. No adjustments were needed after install. Even the idler was set perfectly. I do suggest that you make sure you can blow through the fuel inlet tube before installing just in case you have the same issue I had. I wish I had done that but never have had to in the past. just a fluke I'm sure. I would check it just to be sure though. It is a great carb for the price!! ... show more

  • Caused Seemlingly Random Issues on My 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250R EX250F
This might've been just a rare defect on mine, but here's my experience: I didn't feel like rebuilding my carburetors, so I figured I'd just get these ones for $60 and then I'd have new ones. At the time, I thought $60 was about how much quality carburetors should cost. I found out later that non-working carburetors on Ebay run about $120, working and dirty more like $160, and running and cleaned as much as $200+. Once I saw that, I realized that these were actually very, very cheap. This was also clear by the build quality. The black caps on the top feel like light plastic compared to the OEM ones, and the idle adjustment screw wasn't even mounted to the bottom - it was just a floppy, unmounted cable on the bottom. What the.. heck? Once I had these installed on my bike, I started getting weird issues on my bike. Hard to start, and if it started it would only do so on full choke. It kept dying while cold, so I had to keep restarting it. Once it barely started to warm up, choke had to be put down to about half. Once it was about halfway to operating temperature, it had to be all the way off. The bike could stay running (rough) like that until it got to operating temperature. At that point, the bike would pick a random time between 2 and 60 minutes to run before suddenly shutting off, at which point it wouldn't start again until it cooled down. You could stop it from shutting down by turning the choke on full when it was about to die, but then it would idle at 7,000 RPM. Also, while it was heated, the bike sounded really weak, especially while I was on the throttle. When I revved it high, it would hit 6,000 - 7,000, then sound really weak and hesitate and start dropping down, then suddenly jump back up again. Smoke was also coming out from the tailpipe this whole time, especially on acceleration. I spent hours adjusting the idle mixture screws, idle speed screws, cleaning the carburetors, everything... with no luck. After all that, I thought all these issues must have been from the engine, so I went to the trouble of replacing my valve cover gasket (thinking oil was leaking into the spark plug wells), testing compression, spark plugs, everything, and had no luck. Eventually, I decided it had to be a carburetor issue. I spent $10 on a rebuild kit, rebuilt my OEM one and installed it, and suddenly the bike ran perfectly. Every single issue that I had been having was completely gone. The bike ran strong, no smoke, no issues starting. I'm not saying this will happen with everybody's, but if you have issues like I did after buying this product, check your carburetors first. ... show more

  • cheap and easy
More or less echoing what others have said. They fit right and are a near perfect copy of the originals. They lack the bracket to hold the idle speed nob, but i don't think it is a big deal. The problem is the factory jetting. Some seem to run out of the box, some are rich, mine were super lean. Do yourself a favor and get a jet / needle kit to go with it. ... show more

  • Amazing performance
I bought these carbs for a 2007 Ninja 250 that has sat for years with old stale gas in the tank and carbs. I tried a few times to clean the original carbs and even though I’m a pretty good mechanic I could never get them working right. I finally caved in and bought this set and the bike started up perfectly and only required the slightest mixture adjustment to make them perfect. This bike runs great again and my only regret is that I didn’t buy these sooner. ... show more

  • Cheap but not cheaply made
This fits a 2011 ninja 250r as well saved me a ton of bread.! I’ve only used it one summer so far tho so not sure how it will fair through winter but for the price I’d just throw it in the trash and buy another one if needed
